Real reason behind big change to former WWE stars’ match in AEW disclosed - Reports
An explanation has emerged regarding two former WWE Superstars' upcoming AEW match being rescheduled. The talents in question are Mansoor and Mason Madden, aka MxM Collection.
Mansoor and Mason Madden were first paired together in 2022 during their stint in WWE. Going by the ring names of ma.çé and mån.sôör, the two men were managed initially by Max Dupri, now better known as US Champion LA Knight, and later by his kayfabe sibling, Maxxine. Although the two stars were released by WWE the following year, they continued to team together in the independent scene as MxM, performing in such promotions as DPW, Beyond Wrestling, and Black Label Pro.
Son after unexpectedly appearing in a vignette for Ring of Honor, it was reported last month that Mansoor and Mason Madden had signed with AEW and ROH. MxM debuted in the latter promotion during the Zero-Hour pre-show for Death Before Dishonor 2024 by defeating Angelico and Serpentico. Their official All Elite debut took place in a losing effort against FTR on Collision. They also competed on Rampage recently, defeating Private Party on the August 2, 2024, episode of the Friday-night show.
MxM Collection are currently involved in a rivalry with Top Flight and Action Andretti. A bout pitting Mansoor and Madden against The Martin Brothers was announced by Lio Rush on behalf of Tony Khan this past week on AEW Collision, scheduled for next week's episode of the Saturday night program.
However, a video uploaded later on the promotion's X profile revealed that the match has been moved to the August 16, 2024, episode of Rampage, with the former WWE Superstars providing a comedic astrological explanation behind the change.
An X/Twitter post from Luchablog has now shared a possible reason behind MxM vs. Top Flight being shifted from Collision to Rampage, revealing that Mansoor is supposedly set to compete in CMLL in Mexico on August 17, the same day that Collision is supposed to be held.
"Someone called CMLL and found out they also booked Mansoor on Saturday," wrote Luchablog.

AEW-ROH stars MxM refrained from burying WWE owing to royalty checks
Speaking with Fightful Select last month, Mansoor of MxM Collection disclosed that he had initially intended to "bury" WWE during the course of the interview. However, the current AEW star revealed that he had decided to refrain from speaking critically about his former stomping grounds after his and Mason Madden's royalty checks from the sports entertainment juggernaut were deposited.
Later in the interview, Madden claimed that when he was in the stable called RETRIBUTION, royalties would be split up in six ways. He also asserted that he had designed T-shirts of the faction for free.
It remains to be seen whether MxM will emerge victorious against Top Flight on AEW Rampage this week.
