Real reason why former AEW star Jeff Hardy got stretchered out of TV taping - Reports
Recent reports revealed why the former AEW and WWE star Jeff Hardy had to be stretchered out of the arena after his recent match. The moment took place on TNA.
Jeff Hardy recently departed from AEW after his contract with the company was up. Jeff later made his return to TNA Wrestling after years to join his brother, Matt Hardy. Meanwhile, the former WWE Champion is set to be out of action for the upcoming Slammiversary weekend as he has been written off TV.
On the most recent edition of TNA, The Hardys squared off against The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers) with the TNA Tag Team Titles on the line. The match ended after other members of The System interfered. Jeff was then brutally assaulted by the faction and had to be taken out on a stretcher.
Meanwhile, according to the latest report by PWInsider, Jeff being stretchered out of the arena was all a work. This angle was used as a kayfabe reason to explain why The Charismatic Enigma won't be at 'Slammiversary.' This weekend events are set to take place in Canada and Jeff Hardy is unable to enter the country due to his past issues. Hardy was never advertised for the events as well.
WWE legend on why Jeff Hardy failed in AEW
The WWE legend, Jim Ross explained why Jeff Hardy's run in AEW fell flat. Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross stated the following:
"It might have come down to reliability. You know, he had so many - I don’t want to say false starts, but he had several chances to get his ball rolling and get back in the game. It might be that. Because some of these experiences that preceded him were not real complimentary."
