Rumor killer on Malakai Black possibly leaving AEW after contract expiry to return to WWE - Reports
New information regarding Malakai Black's AEW contract has just surfaced. This is following heavy speculation that he will leave the promotion to join WWE.
Yesterday, WrestlePurists reported on Buddy Matthews' future in AEW and revealed that he had signed a new deal with the promotion. It was also mentioned that Malakai's contract was also nearing its end.
PWInsider reported an update regarding the House of Black members' contracts. It mentioned that Matthews' deal came to be back in February. As for Malakai Black, his current deal will continue into 2025. The outlet also debunked rumors that he was headed to WWE, saying these were baseless.
Buddy Matthews was recently written off TV due to his personal commitment, which meant that the House of Black has had to deal with affairs as a duo with Malakai and Brody King.
Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black are set to remain with AEW for the near future, so their return as a trio may be imminent.
The faction also has a future world trios title opportunity after pinning the Bang Bang Gang, the champions at the time. Now that The Patriarchy holds the titles, the House of Black could go after them next.
