Saraya, fka Paige, reportedly makes a big call on her AEW future

AEW star, Saraya (fka Paige), reportedly made a huge decision regarding her AEW career. She signed with the company in September 2022 and was apparently on a two-year deal, which expired recently.

The Norfolk Doll has been acting as a heel in the Jacksonville-based promotion for a long time now. After being retired for several years due to being medically uncleared, she finally seized her moment when she won the AEW Women's World Championship at All In, at Wembley Stadium in 2023. She turned heel when she betrayed her former friend, Ruby Soho. These days she is accompanied by Harley Cameron.

Saraya is currently feuding with Jamie Hayter. The latter returned after more than a year of absence at All In 2024 and attacked the Anti-Diva. The duo are currently set to square off at the Collision: Grand Slam event. Last month, reports came out regarding the former AEW Women's World Champion's contract status that claimed that the deal would expire soon.

Now, a recent report from Fightful claims that the 32-year-old star has re-signed with the Tony Khan-based promotion and is expected to stay in AEW till at least September 2025, as she has signed a one-year deal.

It remains to be seen why Saraya has signed such a short deal with the company. Only time will tell if she extends her contract with the promotion beyond September 2025.
