Scary details emerge about AEW Full Gear stunt involving Darby Allin and Jon Moxley's faction - Reports
This year's AEW Full Gear was a chaotic pay-per-view, and the show's ending involving The Death Riders and Darby Allin stunned the fans. However, some recent reports have revealed an interesting aspect of the segment.
Jon Moxley successfully defended his AEW World Championship against Orange Cassidy at Full Gear. After the match, Moxley and The Death Riders met with Darby Allin in the parking lot, who crashed his car into the faction vehicle.
The former TNT Champion is known for his high-risk spots in the company, and his latest segment was no different. According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Darby Allin drove the car into The Death Riders' pickup truck, and no stunt double was involved.
"Limping, covered in blood out of the other car is Darby [Allin]. I could tell you, It wasn't a stuntman, he was driving the car. I think he damn near killed himself because he gets out of the car, he’s covered in blood. He’s supposed to get on the truck he ran into and destroy it with a skateboard…he slips off the truck, falls, and finally gets up there all woozy," Alvarez said.
Jon Moxley is not satisfied with the AEW locker room
Jon Moxley has been causing chaos in All Elite Wrestling and is working to change the face of the promotion. He successfully took over the company by winning the World Title at WrestleDream.
In an interview with CBS Sports, Jon Moxley criticized the locker room for not taking responsibility for the mistakes and shared his vision for the promotion.
"I had a vision. A vision of a future. A vision that could be ours. That it could belong to everybody. A vision of a world where everyone can be successful [...] One thing I found challenging in the previous iteration of AEW was, I found it challenging to find anyone who would take responsibility for anything. 'It's not my fault' was a thing that would be heard bouncing around the hallways of AEW quite ubiquitously," he said. [H/T - Fightful]
Jon Moxley won the title from Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream. After Orange Cassidy, it will be interesting to see who steps up to challenge Moxley for the championship.
