Shocking details on Tony Khan's involvement in Jon Moxley's new AEW storyline revealed [Reports]

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and The Death Riders have proven to be a dominant force in All Elite Wrestling. Some recent reports have revealed the involvement of Tony Khan in the booking of the storyline.

Jon Moxley has been terrorizing AEW for the past two months. Moxley, alongside Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Marina Shafir, and Wheeler Yuta, turned on Bryan Danielson to reinvent their brutal faction. Jon Moxley defeated Bryan Danielson to become AEW World Champion at WrestleDream and has plans to change the landscape of All Elite Wrestling.

According to a recent report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Tony Khan is giving creative freedom to Jon Moxley in the storyline. Moxley is in charge of every move that plays out in the story.

"He's getting the chance, though. Tony is letting him do what he wants. Usually when people go, 'Oh, this person did this' usually like it's Tony. This one, It's Jon Moxley. Tony has to approve everything but he's pretty much in charge of turning this place around with this gimmick, and it ain't gonna be easy."

Jon Moxley is worried about Tony Khan's recent AEW decision

AEW CEO Tony Khan recently inked a major multi-year deal with Warner Bros. Discovery which would allow All Elite Wrestling's Dynamite and Collision shows to run on HBO Max. The deal is reportedly for $185 Million per year.

In a recent interview with the New York Post, World Champion Jon Moxley questioned what the next step is after the recent deal and is worried about how the promotion will handle the major opportunity. Moxley claimed the new deal could go away any time and the company should stay prepared.

"What are we going to do with this opportunity? That’s what I’m worried about. There’s been a lot of, kind of in the previous AEW, in the past, you know, there’s been a lot of sitting around celebrating, just treating it like this stuff just happens. Like, oh, it’s just success, just, you know, happens, and this is the way it’s supposed to be, and it’s not gonna go anywhere. Like, this can all go away tomorrow." [H/T NY Post]

Jon Moxley is set to defend his World Title against Orange Cassidy at the Full Gear PPV later this month. We will have to wait and see how things turn out for The Death Riders at the event.
