Surprising details on The Hurt Syndicate ahead of Bobby Lashley’s imminent AEW debut - Reports
A new report has provided details on The Hurt Syndicate faction in AEW. Bobby Lashley is rumored to join the group.
After months of rumors of The Hurt Business' reunion, MVP made his AEW debut on Dynamite: Grand Slam. He departed from WWE earlier this year. On the fifth anniversary episode of Dynamite, Shelton Benjamin also made his All Elite Wrestling debut and joined forces with the former United States Champion, fueling speculation about the stable's reunion.
Bobby Lashley, who is a former Hurt Business member, has also reportedly signed with the Tony Khan-led promotion. He is expected to join The Hurt Syndicate in All Elite Wrestling. Meanwhile, fans have been wondering whether more members will be added to the group. During the Q&A podcast of Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp reported that the stable wasn't expected to recruit more names as of now.
“No, there have been some names tossed around but I don’t know if any names are getting added imminently to that,” Sapp said. [H/T: Ringside News]
WWE Hall of Famer on Bobby Lashley potentially heading to AEW
Before Bobby Lashley's imminent AEW debut, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T shared his thoughts on The Hurt Business' reunion.
On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said he was pleased to see MVP and Shelton Benjamin reunite in AEW. The legend added that he liked the idea of the duo potentially working with Lashley again.
"I said that about MVP, of course, I'm gonna say that about Shelton [Benjamin] and Bobby [Lashley], man. Those are my guys. I want to see those guys come up. I don't want to see anybody out in the cold in this situation. I'm glad that Tony Khan pulled the trigger, got them all in, and continue [sic] The Hurt Syndicate, whatever they're calling themselves. I like it, I like it a lot."
Only time will tell when Lashley will make his much-anticipated All Elite Wrestling debut and potentially join MVP and Shelton Benjamin.
