Top star suffers injury after horrifying spot on AEW Dynamite - ReportsĀ

A top AEW star suffered an injury after being involved in a scary spot on this week's Homecoming episode of Dynamite. For those wondering who, it's none other than Darby Allin, who competed in the headlining match of the night.

Allin teamed up with Sting to take on Konsuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs in a Texas Tornado Match at Daily's Place in Jacksonville. The former TNT Champion and Stinger emerged victorious in the fun back-and-forth brawl. However, what's garnering the most attention is a spot from the match, where Hobbs and Takeshita threw Darby Allin across the ring like a ragdoll.

Allin didn't have the safest of landings, and it looked like he hurt his neck. A new update from Bryan Alvarez on the F4Wonline Board suggested that Allin indeed injured himself during the dangerous-looking bump. No details, however, are available on if the 31-year-old would have to take any time off to recuperate.

Ethan Page on his Coffin Match with Darby Allin in AEW

Last month, during an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Ethan Page looked back at this memorable Coffin Match against Darby Allin at AEW Fyter Fest 2021. Page confessed that being a part of the said clash was the scariest moment he's been involved in in the ring. He added that the match was still taking time off his career.

"That coffin match was, I think it still is taking time off my career, that one was rough. It was easily the scariest moment of my career. So wild last night, I asked Matt Hardy, I was like, hey, what's the one thing that happened in your career that was easily the scariest moment? Like, what was that thing? And while he was thinking about it, someone was like, well, Page, what's yours? And I was like, oh, laying in the coffin," said Page.

It remains to be seen if Darby Allin manages to recover in time for his possible match at AEW Revolution 2024, where he's expected to team up with Sting to take on The Young Bucks.
