Top star yet to sign new contract with AEW; future uncertain - Reports
A top AEW star's contract is expiring soon and he's yet to ink a new deal with Tony Khan's promotion. The name in question is none other than Daniel Garcia.
The 25-year-old was taken off television after brutally getting ambushed by MJF in July. It was reported that the move was made due to Garcia's contract coming up. However, his return at All In during MJF's match against Will Ospreay. This led to fans believing that the star might have renewed his contract. Friedman and Garcia went to war at AEW All Out 2024 and despite losing the match, Daniel took out The Wolf of Wrestling with a second rope Piledriver.
Daniel Garcia has not been seen since and recent reports have shed some light on his status with the promotion. In the recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was revealed that Garcia has still not inked another deal with the Jacksonville-based promotion.

AEW star Daniel Garcia wants to retire Bryan Danielson
Bryan Danielson won the AEW World Championship at All In and shortly revealed that he will retire once he loses the World Title. In a recent chat with Good Karma Wrestling, former ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia revealed that he wants to retire The American Dragon.
Daniel Garcia explained how retiring the veteran would mean more to him than winning any major Championship in professional wrestling.
"Man, I mean, the goal that I’ve had for probably the past two years, it’s really a goal that only one person can do is I really want to be the person to retire Bryan Danielson. That’s something that I really wanna do. To me, that would mean more than any title, any accolade. I feel like that’s the biggest notch in my belt that I could ever get, and that is my main focus and that is my goal.” [H/T: Ringside News]
It will be interesting to see if Daniel Garcia moves to WWE or decides to stay with All Elite Wrestling in the future.
