Triple H very high on current AEW star amid contract expiry rumors - Reports
AEW has infamously signed several former WWE Superstars shortly after their departures while having an interest in many others. WWE has also signed a few talents following their All Elite runs. A very interesting scoop has just revealed how Triple H is interested in an AEW fan favorite in a major way.
Daniel Garcia debuted for All Elite Wrestling in September 2020, then signed in October 2021. He returned from a month-plus hiatus at All In 2024 to attack MJF but then lost to his rival at All Out. It was just reported that Tony Khan offered Garcia a contract extension before All Out, and officials considered him for the win as they were hopeful he would re-sign, but that has not happened yet. A second source reported today that Garcia still has not accepted the offer.
The Red Death's All Elite future has been a topic of discussion for months amid rumors and speculation on Garcia potentially going to WWE. This same talk has been going around AEW. Now, a new report from WrestlePurists' Ibou notes that Triple H and William Regal are both high up on the former ROH Pure Champion.
The backstage update indicated that WWE's Chief Content Officer and Vice President of Global Talent Development are quite familiar with the All Elite product. The veteran legends reportedly rave about Garcia's work.
Triple H reportedly sees Garcia as the next great technical wrestler of the sport. The source noted that the head of WWE creative compares Garcia to Roderick Strong and AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson.
The Dragon Slayer has worked a few matches for WWE since launching his career in 2018. He lost to Drew Gulak on 205 Live in July 2018, then was defeated by Tyler Rust on NXT in January 2021.
