AEW's Taz recently praised Brock Lesnar and Batista

Recently on X (formerly known as Twitter), a fan posted footage of a dark match between Taz and Spike Dudley against Brock Lesnar and Batista from 2002. Taz shared his thoughts on the footage in the comments and revealed that talents used to face each other every week.

The AEW commentator went on to praise Brock Lesnar and Batista and noted how they became huge stars in WWE and is happy for both men's success in the promotion.

"This basically used to happen every week many years ago… there’s lots of matches you guys don’t know about, lol! Talent that was on TV regularly that had lots of experience, would go against younger newer talent in dark matches. It was a normal thing. Obviously, those two big dudes became gigantic stars… I’ve always liked both of them a lot, i’m very happy for both of their successes," the veteran posted.

Batista retired from in-ring competition in 2019, and Brock Lesnar has been absent from WWE programming since SummerSlam 2023. We will have to wait and see when The Beast Incarnate makes his long-awaited return.
