Unfortunate update on Wardlow ahead of AEW Full Gear 2024 [Reports]
Ahead of AEW Full Gear, a report regarding Wardlow's return to the promotion has come to the fore. AEW is scheduled to host its sixth annual Full Gear event at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, November 23.
Mr. Mayhem joined AEW in August 2019, aligned with former AEW World Champion MJF, and became his henchman. He is currently a member of Adam Cole's Undisputed Kingdom stable but was last seen in a match in Tony Khan's promotion on the March 13 edition of AEW Dynamite: Big Business, where he failed to capture the AEW World Title from Samoa Joe.
Fightful Select recently provided an update on the former TNT Champion. The outlet noted that Wardlow was still out with an injury, the manner of which has not yet been disclosed.
Therefore, the chances of him making it to Full Gear seem slim.
Wardlow set to return outside AEW
There is no news on when Wardlow might return to AEW. However, it was recently announced that he would make a return to wrestling soon. He is slated to return from his hiatus and compete at Pandemonium Pro Wrestling on April 17, 2025, at Fremont County Club in Las Vegas.
The 36-year-old star will still be under an AEW contract while performing for the independent promotion. His last Indie match took place at Revenge Pro Press Your Luck on August 20, 2022.
He defeated Elijah Dean in a singles match at the event.
