Shane McMahon to debut as a babyface, Disgruntled AEW star to come back? - 4 Stars Bryan Danielson can bring in to fight Jon Moxley’s stable
Bryan Danielson's time with the Blackpool Combat Club met a bitter end after Jon Moxley and the rest of the members turned against him following his successful title defense at the AEW All Out 2024 Pay-Per-View. The American Dragon defeated Jack Perry to retain his AEW World Championship at the event.
Mox has teased introducing a new stable to the Jacksonville-based promotion by bringing in Marina Shafir. Earlier tonight, he revealed that both Claudio Castagnoli and PAC will be joining him, as all three of them turned on Bryan and launched a gruesome attack on him.
After the vicious attack, only Wheeler Yuta came to Danielson's aid. This seemingly hints at his choosing to stand by The American Dragon, which presents a major issue concerning the AEW World Trios Championship. However, apart from Yuta, who could stand by Bryan Danielson's side in his fight with Jon Moxley and his new faction? Let's take a look.
#1. Shane McMahon could debut as Bryan Danielson's ally
A potential debut that many have been speculating about for the past few months has been the arrival of Shane McMahon to AEW. This all began when he was spotted in a meeting with Tony Khan at an airport in Texas.
Shane and Bryan have worked with one another in the past, as they both served as the authoritative figures of SmackDown Live back in 2016. They even competed together side by side when they feuded with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in 2018.
Shane-O Mac could come in as the manager of Bryan Danielson's new faction to fight the Blackpool Combat Club, and he could even get physical in this feud. This would be him helping an old friend.
#2. Daniel Garcia finally chooses to be a professional wrestler
In 2022, Daniel Garcia was torn between two factions as he was offered either to join the Blackpool Combat Club or the Jericho Appreciation Society. He had to choose whether he was a professional wrestler or a sports entertainer. Garcia ended up choosing the latter, turning against Bryan Danielson in the process.
Despite the Jericho Appreciation Society not being disbanded, Danielson has still taken to heart what happened to him, as he felt that Garcia would be a perfect fit in the Blackpool Combat Club and someone he would care for.
Daniel was in action earlier tonight at AEW All Out and despite MJF escaping with a win, the former had the last laugh, as he potentially injured The Salt of the Earth and put him out of action indefinitely. The 25-year-old star can now come to Bryan's aid to right his wrongs and finally bring out the best of himself now that he has nothing to lose.
#3. Darby Allin answers the call to fight Jon Moxley
Darby Allin is implicated in the occurrences tonight as before this gruesome attack on Bryan Danielson, he was called out by Jon Moxley. Mox did not reveal why he wished to talk to Darby but claimed this was a long-overdue conversation between them.
Allin has yet to be seen since AEW All In 2024, where he was saved by Sting from an attack by The Elite. He has also not answered Moxley's call in any way. The 31-year-old star could arrive soon now that someone close to him has fallen victim to the former WWE Superstar's antics.
Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin have teamed up with one another in the past as they both went to war with The Elite at the AEW Double or Nothing 2024 Pay-Per-View. Now that they have an enemy in common once again, the former TNT Champion could come to Bryan's aid.
#4. Eddie Kingston will aim to take revenge on his long-time rivals
Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson have not always seen eye to eye, but as of late, they have newfound respect for one another.
The Mad King on the other hand has always held a grudge against the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club, specifically Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli. Mox was his former best friend, but due to him aligning himself with Claudio, this friendship has imploded.
Now, nothing is holding Eddie back from siding with Bryan as they share a common enemy now. The 42-year-old star is currently dealing with a major knee injury, but he can come to The American Dragon's aid once he is cleared for action. With this feud just beginning, this could end up being a long-term one with Kingston coming into the fray soon.
Fans should stay tuned to the next episode of AEW Dynamite to find out whether Jon Moxley and his new faction address their actions and whether Bryan Danielson will be around to confront them.
