Tony Khan to bring in 4-time WWE Champion in a special role to stop Jon Moxley and his faction? Looking at the chances
AEW President Tony Khan could bring in a WWE Hall of Famer in a special role to stop Jon Moxley and The Death Riders. The legend recently revealed he refused to go All Elite multiple times.
The reigning AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley, and his Death Riders, Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Wheeler Yuta have been destroying the better part of the All Elite roster on a weekly basis. While no one has been able to stop them until now, Tony Khan could bring in the four-time WWE Champion in question, Kurt Angle, in a new role.
Angle retired from in-ring competition back in 2019 after his loss to Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35. He recently disclosed that AEW offered him a contract a couple of times but he refused as the offer had to do with him wrestling which he would not do anymore. Nevertheless, Kurt could go All Elite in a non-wrestling role instead.
Tony Khan could offer Kurt Angle a deal where he plays the role of an authority figure. The Olympic Gold Medalist could help put a stop to the atrocities that have been committed by Jon Moxley and The Death Riders for weeks, now.
The interactions between Moxley's faction and Kurt Angle would make for great television as well. It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan manages to bring in the WWE Hall of Famer in an authority figure role.
Jon Moxley is set to defend his AEW World Title at Full Gear
Ever since becoming the AEW World Champion at WrestleDream, Jon Moxley has been hiding his title and is yet to defend it. A few weeks ago, Orange Cassidy challenged Moxley for the World Title, and the match was later made official for the upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view.
The announcement stated that alongside the World Title being on the line, the future of AEW also hinges on the outcome of the Full Gear main event. It remains to be seen if Moxley manages to retain the title against Orange Cassidy.
