Tony Khan may have completely given up on 33-year-old AEW star
Over the years, Tony Khan has managed to create numerous stars in AEW with his consistent and strong booking. Some of them are names such as MJF, Darby Allin, Jack Perry, and more.
The All Elite Wrestling women's division has also seen considerable progress. The AEW Women's World Championship has been held by nine stars so far. One of the most popular among them is Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. Unfortunately, she has been absent from TV lately. Furthermore, there might be a possibility that Khan may have completely given up on her.
2024 has not been a good year for AEW star Britt Baker
In the first half of 2024, Britt Baker was sidelined due to injury. She made her return to the company Forbidden Door and went on to challenge Mercedes Mone for the TBS Title. However, she failed the endeavor.
Ever since the 33-year-old made her AEW comeback, she has had underwhelming matches and rivalries. Additionally, she is a controversial figure. For her reported problematic behavior, Baker has faced immense backlash from fans and veterans.
Since the former AEW Women's World Champion's booking has been questionable since returning, there is a chance that Tony Khan has completely given up on her. Nevertheless, only time will tell what the future holds for D.M.D.
No apparent reason for her absence from TV
According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, there is no reason for Britt Baker's absence apart from her health issues and "moving houses."
"She was at the GalaxyCon thing. A lot of people [are] asking where she is and all that. I don’t want to speak for her. I know there have been some times when they have tried to book her, and one, she got sick. Two, she was in the middle of moving. Physically moving houses and making sure she had a home,” the report stated. [H/T: RingsideNews]
Britt Baker was in a relationship with Adam Cole
Britt Baker and Adam Cole reportedly began dating in 2017 and went their separate ways earlier this year. Interestingly, in a recent conversation with The Takedown on SI, the former NXT Champion said that he and his ex still loved each other and are very close friends.
"But when I say that we both still love each other and are still friends and still so supportive of each other, that could not be more true," said Cole. [H/T The Takedown on SI]
Adam Cole is the leader of the faction, Undisputed Kingdom. Apart from him, its members are Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Roderick Strong and, Wardlow. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the D.M.D.
