Tony Khan needs to immediately hire 4-time WWE champion for a blockbuster match against Mercedes Mone

A former four-time WWE champion could fit right into the AEW roster if Tony Khan manages to sign her. The star in question is none other than Beth Phoenix who could add value to the women's division and could possibly have a huge match against Mercedes Mone.

Beth Phoenix is a former Divas Champion and is also a former three-time WWE Women's Champion. She transitioned to calling the action after joining the NXT commentary team a couple of years ago. After Adam Copeland (FKA Edge) returned to the ring in 2020, it also opened up an opportunity for Beth Phoenix to return to the squared circle as she teamed up with Copeland many times in the past few years.

According to some recent reports, Beth Phoenix's WWE contract has expired and she has chosen not to renew her deal. Phoenix has not been approached with a Legends Contract by the Stamford-based promotion. This might be the right time for Tony Khan to sign the former WWE Women's Champion to AEW and book her in some great match-ups.

A match between Beth Phoenix and Mercedes Mone could be epic

Mercedes Mone is one of the biggest stars in AEW. She won the TBS Women's Title in her All Elite in-ring debut at Double or Nothing and defeated Stephanie Vaquer to become the NJPW Strong Women's Champion at the Forbidden Door Pay-Per-View.

After All In, The CEO can start a huge feud with Beth Phoenix if The Glamazon chooses to sign with the Jacksonville-based promotion. Both women have never squared off in the ring before, so a potential match-up between the two could be epic.

Beth could join the AEW commentary team

The AEW announcer team has big names like Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness, Excaluber, and Jim Ross. The addition of Beth Phoenix to the commentary desk could add a unique style to the team as she has great experience in calling the action.

Beth Phoenix was the play-by-play commentator on WWE NXT for a couple of years and has called some of the best matches on the former Black and Gold brand.

The WWE Hall of Famer could sign with AEW to coach the women's division

AEW's women's division has some big names like Mercedes Mone, Toni Storm, Britt Baker, Saraya and more. However, the company also has some homegrown talent that often suffers from a lack of leadership. A veteran like Beth Phoenix could train the up-and-coming stars and help them reach their full potential.

The Glamazon debuted in 2004 and her career has spanned for over 20 years. She has the experience to share with the talented women's roster in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Beth Phoenix could sign with AEW as her husband Adam Copeland is a part of the company. It will be interesting to see if Tony Khan decides to add The Glamazon to his roster.
