Tony Khan to secretly sign WWE Hall of Famer's sons soon? Exploring the possibility
AEW President Tony Khan could secretly sign the sons of a WWE Hall of Famer after multiple TV appearances. The stars recently won a championship as well.
The WWE Hall of Famer in question is none other than Kevin Von Erich. Kevin was part of a renowned tag team alongside David Von Erich back in the 1980s. The Von Erichs were felicitated with the Hall of Fame induction by the Stamford-based promotion back in 2009 as well. Meanwhile, Kevin's sons, Marshall and Ross Von Erich have also been on the pro wrestling scene as a tag team for the past decade.
After gaining prominence in various indie wrestling promotions, the duo has made several appearances on AEW TV since their first appearance last year. They also wrestled on the Tony Khan-owned Ring of Honor.
Marshall and Ross recently became the ROH six-man tag champions along with Dustin Rhodes. They defeated The Undisputed Kingdom for the vacant title at Battle of the Belts 11 last week despite not being under a contract with Tony Khan's promotion. Therefore, Khan could secretly sign the duo after their multiple appearances.
Tony could definitely think of expanding the AEW Tag Team division by adding a popular tag team like Marshall and Ross Von Erich. It would be interesting to see if the WWE Hall of Famer's sons end up signing with All Elite Wrestling or Ring of Honor.
WWE veteran says popular tag team will sign with Tony Khan's promotion
Amid the rumors of Marshall and Ross Von Erich potentially signing with AEW/ROH after their six-man title win, former WWE star Dustin Rhodes seemingly confirmed that the tag team will indeed get a contract one day. Dustin responded to a fan on X/Twitter on the same.
The star stated that the duo will get a contract soon.
"They will get one."
Only time will tell whether Khan will end up signing the young Von Erichs to a contract sooner rather than later.
