Tony Khan to suspend former AEW World Champion for breaking major rule? Exploring potential punishment

Tony Khan is a very benevolent leader who takes AEW very seriously. The All Elite President often takes the high road so that his stars can take the credit.

However, his lenience cannot be taken as a sign that he has ignored what has been happening in the company. With All In pay-per-view coming up, he might have to suspend former AEW World Champion MJF.

If that happens, this could have huge ramifications for the event at Wembley Stadium and could leave the fans very disappointed.

Tony Khan could suspend MJF

This step could be taken after what unfolded during the latest edition of AEW Dynamite. MJF took on Kyle Fletcher and beat him in rather dubious circumstances. After the match, The Salt of the Earth took the unusual step of attacking the referee, Paul Turner.

He hit in the face with his title and then unloaded on Kyle Fletcher, too. If it had not been for Will Ospreay coming out and stopping him, he would have gone on. This could prompt Tony Khan to take the steps to suspend MJF.

Suspending MJF might free up the title

If that decision comes to fruition, then the title match MJF has against Will Ospreay will be put in jeopardy. Not only that, but it could also disappoint the fans at All In 2024.

Given that he would not want to anger the fans, Tony Khan could also strip the title off MJF and have it contested in a match with new stars. That way, the Wembley fans don't have to go home without seeing their local hero, Will Ospreay.

A potential way for new stars to make their debut

With MJF suspended, the stage could be set for new stars to stake their claim. Rumors are rife that Bobby Lashley and Ricochet might join AEW soon.

With the possibility of suspension and Will Ospreay without a match, replacing MJF with either Lashley or Ricochet would blow the roof off the place and ensure the event is great.
