Triple H must give 49-year-old star another chance in WWE
The CCO of WWE Triple H could bring back a 49-year-old veteran and the former multi-time Tag Team Champion for another run after he has reportedly become a free agent recently.
Ever since taking over the total creative control of WWE, Triple H has brought in and brought back some of the best talents and veterans for the betterment of the promotion. Meanwhile, Matt Hardy is a free agent after his AEW contract expired, and he reportedly has not signed a new deal yet.
Below are a few reasons why Triple H should give Matt Hardy another chance by bringing him back to WWE.
Matt Hardy will be an asset to WWE
After the news regarding Hardy's contract broke, speculations about his return to the WWE have been running wild. Matt is best known for his time in the Stamford-based promotion as part of a tag team with his brother, Jeff Hardy. He previously returned to the promotion back in 2017 but went to AEW in 2020.
Meanwhile, with Matt being a free agent, The Cerebral Assassin could bring the veteran back to WWE. The Stamford-based promotion could very well use Hardy's experience, not only as an in-ring talent but also as a backstage producer or agent, as he has a great wrestling mind.
Triple H can bring out the best of "Broken" Matt Hardy
After his WWE return in 2017, Matt Hardy had a brief single run in which he brought out his classic "Broken" character from his time in TNA. However, the gimmick was tweaked a little under the leadership of Vince McMahon. The star was transformed into "Woken" Matt Hardy, and the gimmick failed to get over with the fans.
Nevertheless, Triple H has total creative control now, and he can bring the best out of Matt's popular "Broken" character by giving him some creative freedom. Matt is currently rumored to return with his popular gimmick alongside Uncle Howdy in memory of Bray Wyatt.
The reunion of The Hardy Boyz in WWE
The Hardy Boyz made their triumphant return during WrestleMania 33 in 2017. It was a great moment, but fans want to see them back together again. Although Matt Hardy has reportedly departed from AEW, Jeff Hardy is still a part of the roster, and his contract details are undisclosed.
In case Matt returns to the WWE, he can have a singles run before eventually reuniting with his brother, Jeff, somewhere down the line. Moreover, the Hall of Fame induction of The Hardy Boyz is long overdue. Only time will tell if The Hardys will be back to where they gained popularity.
