Two AEW stars to reunite upon their return and dethrone The Young Bucks at WrestleDream? Exploring the chances
Two AEW stars could return to the company and defeat current tag team champions The Young Bucks at the WrestleDream pay-per-view. The stars being discussed are Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi.
The duo wrestled in NJPW as the Golden Lovers and have a huge history together. Both stars have been sidelined with injuries for a long time but recently flaunted their intense training session on social media. While Kota Ibushi is already wrestling outside AEW, Kenny Omega is still recovering from his surgery due to diverticulitis. Recent reports suggest that the stars could return to the promotion together.
The EVPs have been the AEW World Tag Team Champions for a long time. They recently defeated Kyle Fletcher and Will Ospreay on Dynamite. They are also not featured in any major rivalry as of now. Their reign could be running its course as more credible teams could step up in the future.
The Golden Lovers could reunite in the company and challenge The Young Bucks and win the tag team title.
AEW's Kota Ibushi reveals he and Kenny Omega have finished their training
Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi have been posting updates about their recent training sessions on their social media.
Recently, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion shared a picture on social media and claimed that their training was finished.
"The last practice is over! I've been able to push hard this time. I'm ready for AEW, which will be coming soon. I still have to fulfill my promise to Japan! I hope the landscape has changed! Now we just have to do it! Thank you for the flexible contract even though we both belong‼️ Well, there were a few NGs, but basically, I'm grateful when I'm in Japan," wrote Ibushi.
It will be interesting to see if they face The Young Bucks upon their potential return.
