When Tool's guitarist Adam Jones dressed up as an AEW star
Adam Jones, musician and lead guitarist for the American rock band Tool, once dressed up as a top AEW star during a performance. The talent in question is none other than Penta El Zero Miedo.
Jones has been performing as a member of Tool since the release of the band's first EP, Opiate, which was released in 1992. A year later, the group released their debut album, Undertow. The band has emerged as one of the most popular alternative/progressive rock acts globally.
During a show several years ago, Adam Jones was photographed performing dressed up as former AEW World Tag Team Champion Penta El Zero Miedo. The picture, which has been making rounds on X/Twitter recently, shows Jones wearing Penta's signature mask and face paint.
Interestingly enough, this is not the only indication of Adam's interest in pro wrestling. Jones notably performed the national anthem of the US to kick off the 2011 edition of WWE Summerslam. In January this year, he shared a photograph of himself with former TNT Champion Christian Cage on Instagram.
Penta El Zero Miedo confirmed his AEW contract expiration date
Since his debut in the promotion, Penta has found remarkable success in the tag team and trios divisions alongside his brother Rey Fenix and their Death Triangle stablemate, PAC.
It was recently reported that Penta El Zero Miedo's AEW contract is set to expire sometime between August and September this year. He has seemingly corroborated the aforementioned reports regarding his deal with the Tony Khan-led promotion.
During an interview with YouTuber Lalo Elizarraras, the former AEW World Tag Team Champion confirmed that his All Elite Wrestling contract is set to expire in August and September.
"Pentagon Jr today confirmed his contract with AEW expires around Aug/Sept of this year. He is a keeping a open mind to all of his options... He did say he has a lot to consider. Penta has his hands in a lot of different business. He has his own Lucha store, he has a wrestling school, among other business ventures. He said he has people that count on him for his support & a job. He does not want to jeopardize that." [H/T Dark Puroresu Flowsion on Twitter]
Penta is supposedly interested in being open to several options, given his involvement in several ventures, including a Lucha store and a wrestling school.
It remains to be seen whether Penta El Zero Miedo will continue his All Elite career or jump to a different promotion.
