WWE Hall of Famer, legendary champion - 3 stars who could return at AEW Double or Nothing 2024
AEW Double or Nothing 2024 is right around the corner, and given how things are starting to shape up, there seem to be a lot of surprises in store for the fans. With Tony Khan absent, there is a power struggle going on, which opens up many avenues for new storylines.
That also means there is a potential window for some stars to return just in time to make a massive impact.
In this article, we will take a look at three such stars who could make their comeback, including a WWE Hall of Famer.
#3. Hangman Adam Page
The Young Bucks suspended Hangman Adam Page after he attacked two referees at the Revolution pay-per-view.
That has set the tone for the Bucks’ over-the-top behavior since then, and they have gone about causing havoc.
A return for Adam Page, with him costing the match for the Elite, would be a great way to reintroduce him into the fold in AEW and ensure he is firmly placed in the thick of things again.
#2. Britt Baker
Britt Baker has been out for a long time due to injury. The former AEW Women’s World Champion has not been mentioned, and her presence in the women’s division is needed.
If Mercedes Mone turns heel in her match against Willow Nightingale, Britt Baker could come out and make the save, immediately inserting herself into the main event scene. A match between Mercedes and Baker would be great for the company.
#1. Sting could come back to AEW
The stage is set for the WWE Hall of Famer to return to AEW. With the Young Bucks running riot by becoming de-facto leaders in Tony Khan’s absence, Sting could return to a non-wrestling authority role to keep the bad guys in check.
The Vigilante has a great relationship with Tony Khan, and he could do him a massive favor by returning at Double or Nothing. That would see the crowd pop like crazy and make sure they go home happy, knowing that the bad guys will no longer be able to call the shots in the company.
