WWE Legend returning after 200 days to save his kidnapped best friends from Death Riders? Exploring the possibility
The Death Riders have been a menace for the entire locker room in recent months. Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin are two of the few people who have stood up to Jon Moxley and his crew.
As a result, Cassidy was on the receiving end of a vicious beatdown last week on AEW Collision. Moxley was even about to pour some detergent fluid down Cassidy's throat when FTR stepped in to make the save and send The Death Riders in retreat. However, this turned out to be a fatal decision for the former AEW Tag Team Champions. This week on Collision, Death Riders assaulted FTR backstage and were seemingly kidnapped by the group. With FTR also taken out by the group, the question is who can step in to save them. The answer lies in Adam Copeland (FKA Edge).
Adam Copeland has been out of action since he suffered a leg injury during his match at AEW Double or Nothing. Since then, he has been recovering from his injury. However, he has made good progress and even trained with FTR and Darby Allin recently.
It's only a matter of time before Copeland makes his return to the ring and he could do it to save his friends from the Death Riders. This could also help set up a feud between The Purveyor of Violence and The Rated-R Superstar for the AEW World Champion. While Adam Copeland has won the TNT Championship, he hasn't won a World Title since he came back from retirement and this could be a good opportunity to have him pursue the title.
Christian Cage continues to stalk The Death Riders
Jon Moxley has a lot of challengers interested in his AEW World Championships. Hangman Page, Orange Cassidy, and Jay White have all expressed interest in the World Title. However, Mox has another challenger lurking in the shadows.
Christian Cage has a contract that guarantees him a World Title shot that he can cash in at any time. The leader of The Patriarchy has even come close to cashing it in a couple of times. He was about to cash in on Moxley at Full Gear. However, his plan was thwarted by Jay White.
On the 11th December episode of Dynamite, Jon Moxley and PAC teamed up to face Jay White and Orange Cassidy. During the match, Christian Cage and The Patriarchy were spotted watching the bout from the arena's suites.
It looks like Jon Moxley will not be able to rest as long as he has The Patriarchy lurking in the shadows.
