The Cats are optimistic about the second half of the season, beginning with Friday night’s match.
Miers has been quite a sensational part of the club this first half of the year. He averaged a career-high 21 disposals per game and kicked 11 goals.
Despite his neat form, Miers still enjoyed the opportunity to rest and get ready for an even better second half of the season as the Cats shoot for the top eight. He said:
"Everyone went away on their own little trips, just to get away from the footy world for a bit and now we are very keen to get back into it, eager to play on Friday night.”

Geelong Cats young gun optimistic about game against Carlton despite past losses
The Geelong Cats are set to take on Carlton at the MCG come Friday. The match will mark the second time in eight games that the Cats have gone against the Blues, with Geelong winning by 13 points in the first meeting.
Despite the short turnaround between clashes, Geelong young forward Gryan Miers believes that the team is ready to take on the Blues without focusing too much on past results. He said:
"We just want to take Carlton for what it is this week. It was a really close game last time and a really fun game to play. You know they will be at their best, they have some of the best stars in the league on one list. We believe our whole team approach can bring it against any team, we just need to bring that and I am confident we can win."
The Cats face Carlton on Friday at the MCG, with the grounds opening at 7:40 pm Australian Time.
