At the start of the episode, Taiki runs into Chinatsu early in the morning, before heading to badminton practice. Afterward, he planned to visit the library with his classmates to finish summer homework. During practice, he reflected on his awkward interaction with Chinatsu, hoping to move past it.

At the library, Taiki discovered Ito had a crush on Hina. Later, at the cafeteria, Taiki found an exhausted Hina, and their conversation turned nostalgic as students nearby discussed the upcoming fireworks festival. The memories took them back to junior high, when Taiki had given Hina a candy apple during a similar festival after noticing her love for them.

In the present, Hina nervously invited Taiki to this year's festival. Taiki accepted, unaware Hina had no intention of inviting others. At home, Taiki overheard Chinatsu declining her mother's offer to prepare a yukata, planning to go to the festival with her friends. Taiki, distracted by the thought of Chinatsu in a yukata, struggled to focus on his studies.

At practice, Haryu invited Taiki to a university badminton session, which he eagerly accepted. Taiki later asked Hina who else was attending the festival. Hesitantly, she admitted forgetting to invite others, suggesting they ask Kyo and some friends. While Hina's friends declined her invitations, Chinatsu agreed to join a girls-only group for the festival.

During badminton practice, Taiki impressed Hyodo with his determination, despite his weaknesses. Later, Kyo faked a fever to skip the festival, leaving Hina and Taiki alone. At the festival, Taiki bought two candy apples, reminiscing about their past. Just then, Hina arrived, stunning Taiki with her elegant yukata.

The next episode of Blue Box will focus on the growing emotions between the characters and the excitement of the upcoming fireworks festival. Hina and Taiki are set to attend the festival together, giving them a chance to share special moments.

Hina’s true feelings for Taiki might start to show, especially since she didn’t invite others, and Kyo purposely dropped out to leave them alone. There’s however, always the chance that Chinatsu and Taiki could meet at the festival, leading to unexpected twists. The episode will explore the characters’ unspoken feelings, the changes in their relationships, and how they navigate friendship and romance in such a heartfelt moment.
