Blue Lock season 2 episode 10 starts right after the previous one ended. Isagi and Rin find out that Shidou Ryusei finally entered the match as the player of Japan's U-20 team, partnering up with the prodigy Sae Itoshi.

The latter did not waste a single minute taunting Rin, daring him to prove who truly deserves the title of number one. Not one to deter, Rin responds sarcastically that it's the perfect time since he has been waiting for someone to humiliate for added entertainment. The tension between the two is palpable, setting the stage for a fiery second half.

The commentators stated that no one knows Shidou's playstyle, adding to his mystery. Isagi goes on to state how unstable this guy brings to the pitch. Now that Shidou has invaded, the match is turning to chaos, and anyone able to cope with its nature will be the greatest hero, according to Isagi.

The whistle blows to signify the start of the second half, and immediately the intensity picks up. Niko Ikki focuses on Shidou because he remembers that his biggest weapon is his unerring ability to score when he reaches the box. Niko then decides that this is the moment to shine, if the ball reaches the goal close to Shidou, he will stop him at any cost.

However, it leaves everyone stunned when Shidou's incredible speed surpasses anything. Ignoring even his teammates, Shidou seems to be playing his own game. When Chigiri tries to defend against him, Shidou passes it to Sendou without warning. Chigiri then realizes that Shidou and Sendou's chemistry is like that of Rin and Isagi.

Sendou sends a perfect curling cross to Shidou, who positions himself for a decisive shot. Niko bravely intercepts with a tackle, stopping the goal attempt but earning a yellow card in the process. However, Blue Lock successfully defends the goal. Japan U-20 earns a free kick, and Shidou declares he will take it.

Sae steps in and counsels him to settle for a feasible yet excellent move, one that really stretches their coordination to its peak. The play comes on as Shidou shoots fake, passing it to Sae, who drills the ball to the limit. Chigiri at full speed trying to intercept this one does not stop it, as the ball falls perfectly to Shidou's feet, and he manages to score the equalizer at 2-2.

Isagi quickly pieces together what happened. Shidou had sprinted to the exact spot he envisioned shooting from. Chigiri anticipated this, but Sae had accounted for Chigiri’s speed, the trajectory of the pass, and Shidou’s positioning to execute a flawless play.

Unfortunately, Chigiri’s efforts leave him injured, creating a major setback for Blue Lock. Jin declares that there must be substitutions to restore balance, bringing Mikage Reo and Hiori Yo to replace injured Chigiri and Niko.

Mikage approaches Nagi on the field and boldly asks him if he has to wait too long. Nagi is also not bothered as he retorts that he knew when Mikage was needed, so he came when needed. The reinforcements mark a new tactical shift for Blue Lock as the match reaches its critical turning point.

As the whistle blows, Isagi notices a strategic move with Hiori taking over the front line, this is an attacking option that was perfected during their Blue Lock training.

Until now, the whole strategy had been centered around constant movement and revolving around Rin, but Hiori added yet another dimension with his composed eyesight and precise ball control creating a space and opportunity. No long one-on-one but bright passes from Hiori which perfectly fit with each of his teammates' moves.

Hiori's attack passes it to Karasu, but Japan's U-20 defense forces him to take back the ball. With his keen sharpness, Hiori finds Nagi, who channels it back to Isagi. Right when Isagi is about to score, Aiku intercepts him with an important defensive action.

Sae takes control and appears to be setting Shidou up for another attack. But Mikage Reo, remembering Jin's instructions, steps forward. Reo does a surprising mimicry of Aiku's defense style and effectively blocks the strike from Shidou, shocking everyone.
