Boruto and Himawari all but confirmed to team up against Jura and Two Blue Vortex chapter 17 hints at it
Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 17 is set to be released on December 20, 2024, at 12:00 am JST, but the spoilers for the chapter have already been released. The spoilers continued with the frenzy in the Hidden Sand Village, as the Shinju formed a temporary alliance with the Hidden Leaf Shinobi. However, the Ten Directions made a shocking prediction that might hint at a future partnership.
According to Kashin Koji, Jura's target included both the protagonist and Himawari. This might be because both of them have the chakra of their father, who was the original target of the Shinju. This might see the Uzumaki siblings ally in the future. This would make perfect sense, given how Himawari was also reluctant to believe that the protagonist is a traitor.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Exploring a partnership between the protagonist and Himawari
Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 17 spoilers showcased the Shinju ally with the Hidden Leaf Shinobi after Konohamaru put an act. On the other hand, the protagonist and Kashin Koji are in talks with Eida to make sure their infiltration is successful.
The protagonist, in particular, was worried because he didn't want this infiltration to fail. However, Eida had to be wary of eavesdropping, as the Shinju were chasing their targets (and she was the target of Bug's Shinju). Ultimately, she gave in to the requests of the protagonist and started monitoring the condition in the Hidden Sand Village.
Additionally, Kashin Koji kept advising the protagonist about not entering the battlefield because, just like Himawari, he was also the target of Jura. This statement created a buzz in the fandom, given how it changed a lot of things.
Initially, as announced by the Shinju in Boruto Two Blue Vortex, Naruto Uzumaki was Jura's target. This was because of the Nine-tails, which later led to the Shinju targeting Himawari. During their fight, Himawari awakened her Nine-tails chakra and became the new jinchuriki of Kurama. So, this would make her the next target of the Shinju.
However, given the latest development, the protagonist might also be a target, as he also might have a fragment of Kurama's chakra. The biggest hint in all this might be a future alliance between the protagonist and Himawari, given that both of them are the targets of the Shinju.
Since the Omnipotence Incident, Himawari has been one of the few people who is skeptical about the protagonist's status as a 'traitor.' So, their alliance might be another confirmation for Himawari to accept the fact that Boruto is her real brother.
Final thoughts
While it might be too far-fetched to conclude such a big alliance based on a single dialogue, the partnership between the Uzumaki siblings might be closer than the protagonists think. With the current developments, a strong alliance is needed to go against the Shinju, and the siblings' partnership might be what the series needs.
