This is likely because chapter 176 ended with her being attacked by a group of yokai, seemingly based on Chinese jiangshi monsters. Seiko will likely immediately try one of these weaknesses, but be dismayed when it doesn’t work, potentially taking some severe damage as well.

This should prompt her to borrow her powers, at which point she might finally give fans a clear answer as to which god of Kamigoe City she borrows the powers of. More likely than not, this will be revealed as Daikokuten, with Seiko likely to be revealed as having a relatively personal relationship with the deity. However, this might not linger on for too long, instead serving as shock value before a quick transition into an action scene.

Dandadan chapter 177 will likely see Seiko then use Daikokuten’s power to overwhelm the jiangshi, gaining the upper hand immediately after attacking. Payase and Kashimoto should wake up at this point, revealing that they have some tactics and tricks of their own. While Payase will likely use one of his cursed objects, it’s unclear how Kashimoto may fight. Nevertheless, each will possibly contribute in some way here.

On cue, this will likely reveal that Count Saint-Germain is watching Seiko carefully, and is the one who sent the jiangshi after her. He’ll likely say some brief words here as Seiko continues making her way to Daikokuten’s shrine.

The chapter should then end with the reveal that Turbo Granny is following Saint-Germain, and has been since her last appearance.
