Dandadan episode 11 recap

Dandadan episode 11 began with Jiji’s introduction playing out once more but with a focus on Okarun’s thoughts. As Jiji let his true personality shine, Seiko explained that he was staying with her and Momo while his parents were sick in the hospital. Okarun and Aira left shortly after, with his goodbye with Momo being awkward as a result of Jiji’s introduction. Jiji then revealed that his house was haunted and that Seiko was the only spirit medium strong enough to help.

However, since her powers only worked inside of Kamigoe City, she revealed Momo and her friends would be the ones to help Jiji out. Jiji then introduced himself to Momo’s class the next day as he started school with her, making a good first impression on everyone.

Simultaneously, Okarun was lamenting Jiji’s reintroduction into Momo’s life, to the point of creating hypothetical scenarios where he and Momo wouldn’t be able to see each other anymore.

This led Okarun to work out to impress Momo, which she and Jiji eventually found him doing. He tried sneaking away, but then ran into an anatomically accurate plastic model of a human, named Taro, which had come to life. The trio chased Taro to a dump, where it was revealed he wanted to reunite with his love Hana, an older model which the school threw out. The episode ended with Okarun having a revelation regarding his feelings for Momo as he heard them talk.

What to expect from Dandadan episode 12 (speculative)

Dandadan episode 12 will likely open up with the resolution of the Taro and Hana storyline, likely leading to concurrent developments of Momo and Okarun’s love for each other. While Okarun and Momo are unlikely to speak of these revelations to each other in the episode’s events, their impact should nevertheless be made clear and apparent.

Episode 12 should then shift focus to wrapping up the Taro and Hana storyline, likely by seeing them move to an older school which can make use of both models. This should then shift into a focus on Jiji’s house and what’s haunting it, which is almost certain to be the group’s next paranormal adventure. The first season finale should thus end by getting all the setup for this focus out of the way, allowing the likely-to-come sequel to dive right into the action.
