Danmachi season 5 episode 11: Freya Familia bludgeons through the Allied Army as Bell vs. Ottar begins

Danmachi season 5 episode 11, titled Hell: Folkvangr, was released on December 19, 2024, on ABEMA Premium in Japan. The episode saw the Freya Familia's executives dismantle the Hestia Familia-led Allied Force with their raw strength. On the other hand, Ottar pushes Bell to a corner and shows why he's the strongest.

Danmachi season 5 episode 11 truly commenced the Hide-and-Seek War Game, which turned into an all-out battle royale because of the Freya Familia's offensive strategy. Undoubtedly, the episode perfectly explored the Allied Army's despair as they faced Orario's strongest Familia.

Danmachi season 5 episode 11: Liliruca responds to Freya Familia's offensive strategy

Picking up the events from the previous installment, Danmachi season 5 episode 11 begins with the Allied Army acting upon Liliruca's strategy. The army is split into teams sent to different areas of the Orza Ruins. Liliruca wants to find out the locations of the Freya Familia's troops to come up with a proper strategy.

As she communicates with several groups at once, Liliruca realizes how difficult it is to be a strategist. However, she remembers Finn's words. The Loki Familia's Captain fully believes Liliruca has what it takes to become a master strategist. Hence, she commands the scout teams to locate Lady Freya and her forces.

The scouts press on but find no sign of the enemy. Liliruca feels it's slightly strange for Freya Familia not to show up, especially when the scouting teams cover halfway through the enemy's territory. She wonders whether they plan to lure them in.

Just then, in Danmachi season 5 episode 11, Luvis from the Modi Familia frantically informs Liliruca that he has spotted the enemy forces. According to his intel, the Freya Familia's troops are stationed at the island's edge on the west side. Luvis says it's not only a few guards but the entire Familia.

Welf, Daphne, and others wonder what's going on. Lilircua chips in and asks Luvis about Goddess Freya's location. Luvis then informs her about how Freya is sitting inside the Shrine. Finn, who is watching the live broadcast of the War Game, feels it's a sound strategy on the Freya Familia's part.

Likewise, Hermes mentions how the Freya Familia hasn't broken any rule by strategy. According to Danmachi season 5 episode 11, Freya Familia has turned the War Game's Hide and Seek format into an all-out war. Hermes thinks the strategy suits Freya Familia because they hold all the power.

Hedin Selland commends Liliruca's strategy, as he feels the Prum has made the correct call. He orders his troops to prepare for an offensive fest, discarding defense altogether. Meanwhile, Hephaestus and Hestia are seen hiding in a castle. The former feels they can only wait and watch with bated breath.

Danmachi season 5 episode 11: The Freya Familia executives reduce the Allied army's chances of victory

The narrative for Danmachi season 5 episode 11 focuses on the battlefield, where the allied forces demonstrate the powers of the Crozzo magic swords forged by Welf. The elemental magic pulverizes the Freya Familia's Einherjars. However, the allied forces' celebration is cut short as Heith Velvet's healing spell imbues the Einherjars with renewed vigor.

Haruhime uses her level-boost on Aishia, Daphne, and others while hiding under an invisibility cloak as they counterattack. Liliruca realizes the Freya Familia made them waste their magic sword. However, now that she knows where Heith is, she orders Mord's team to take charge.

Danmachi season 5 episode 11 shows Mord and others cast powerful elemental magic on Heith Velvet using the Crozzo swords. However, Heith has Aesir Gullveig, an auto-healing spell activated. Even though the swords burn her skin, she is automatically healed.

She is disgusted by the allied forces' attempt to vilify their Goddess. The episode showcases Heith Velvet's true strength as she switches her role from a healer to a soldier, actively participating in the battle. She obliterates Mord's team single-handedly.

Meanwhile, Hedin Selland demonstrates a lightning spell from afar to eliminate the threats one by one. On the other side, Bell Cranel presses on toward the shrine to find Goddess Freya. Elsewhere in the Orza ruins, Tsubaki and her team confront Hogni, who's terrified to see their eyes glaring at him.

However, he realizes the battle is being broadcast all over Orario, so he quickly recollects himself. Danmachi season 5 episode 11 shows Hogni demonstrating his strongest move, Dainsleif. The dark elf takes out multiple adventurers in a fraction of a second.

Tsubaki realizes it's all up to her to combat the dark elf. Boosted by Haruhume's Level Boost, she takes on the Dainsleif-imbued Hogni. Meanwhile, Welf observes an opening and tries to land a hit on the dark elf.

However, Allen stops his plan with a strike, which Welf dodges at the last second. Allen wonders why Welf's blade won't break as their swords clash. The Hestia Familia's blacksmith reveals it's a regular magic sword he has forged himself.

Elsewhere in the Orza ruins, Bell Cranel runs for the Shrine while charging his Argonaut. He wants to return and help others, but Liliruca says he has to deal with Ottar, the key player in the Freya Familia. According to Danmachi season 5 episode 11, Liliruca feels Bell has a chance to defeat Ottar with a fully charged Argo Vesta.

However, before he can find Ottar, Bell is ambushed by Van. Since he took the boy under his wing in the Freya Familia, Van wants to take responsibility and defeat Bell. However, Bell has become stronger than before, so Van's attacks now appear slow to him.

Bell Cranel punches Van and uses a Fire Bolt to knock him out. Just then, in Danmachi season 5 episode 11, Ottar arrives at the scene. Bell realizes his Argonaut is yet to be charged fully. Ottar hands over a blade to Bell because he wants to test his strength.

Bell Cranel picks up the sword and imbues it with Fire Bolt. The flaming sword is further enhanced in power by Bell's Argonaut. On the other hand, Ottar charges his own blade with Hildis Vini. The move radiates his sword in golden light. Liliruca comments on how Ottar once defeated a Level 7 adventurer with Hildis Vini.

Danmachi season 5 episode 11 then shows Bell Cranel landing a fully charged Argo Vesta at Ottar. Unfortunately, the attack does almost nothing to Ottar, who still commends Bell for his efforts. He feels the attack surpassed his own, considering their levels.

However, it's still insufficient to defeat Ottar, who wields his other blade for an all-out attack. Elsewhere, the Freya Familia's executives defeat Tsubaki, Welf, and others. Meanwhile, Aishia's team takes on the Gulliver brothers, who are impressed by the allied army's clever strategy.

On the other side, Ottarl brutally beats Bell Cranel, who begs him to stop. Ais Wallenstein is worried about Bell after seeing him in a tattered state in the War Game's live broadcast.

Elsewhere, Asfi doesn't waste any time and leaves Hermes's side. Likewise, Bell's plight moves Eina to tears, as she feels the boy has had enough. However, Ottar doesn't stop. Danmachi season 5 episode 11 ends with Ottar ordering Bell to get up and fight. He wants the boy to surpass him if he's going to bask in Freya's love.
