Arifureta season 3 episode 6: Explaining why Hajime wasn't transported back to his original world
Arifureta season 3 episode 6 commenced with Princess Lily being sent back home after everything was sorted at the Hoelscher Empire. As Hajime's party approached the World Tree to enter its labyrinth, it demanded some requirements be filled. After filling them, Hajime and his companions entered the labyrinth.
Before they could progress, Hajime captured Yue, Tio, and a member of the Hero's Party. As the protagonist claimed, these three were dummies and after getting no response from them, he destroyed them on the spot.
Arifureta season 3 episode 6 then saw them continuing their journey inside the Haltina journey. As they continued, the protagonist's party encountered a strange goblin and Hajime avoided killing it because it was Yue.
Followed by a few other incidents and finding the missing people, Hajime, and his companions entered a portal, hoping to get out of this mess. Arifureta season 3 episode 6 saw Hajime back in his human body as he was present on Earth.
Moreover, Yue (a high school girl) woke him up as he was about to go to school. Surprisingly, Hajime had no precognition of his fantasy life and treated his current life normally. The two then entered their school where Shea (another high school girl) hugged Hajime.
As these two fought for Hajime's attention, the protagonist claimed that it was hard being loved by two girls. As they entered class, Hajime encountered Shizuku (another high school girl) who also fought with Yue for Hajime's attention. Class started and it was revealed that Tio was the homeroom teacher of the protagonist's class.
After school, Yue and Shea accompanied the protagonist who was picking up Myu (the daughter of Hajime's neighbor). As these four were on their way home, they saw some bandits bullying a woman. While Yue and Shea took care of the bandits, Hajime heard a voice inside him, telling him to wake up.
After reaching home, Yue approached Hajime and this was when things seemed a bit too off. Even though Yue proclaimed her love for the protagonist, Hajime insisted that the voice inside him kept bugging him. Eventually, Hajime stood up and branded this Yue as a fake.
He continued by belittling himself for getting cozy inside a fake world after he faced betrayal and suffering in the real world (the fantasy world). The episode then saw the world around Hajime break as he reverted to his original persona.
The Haltina Labyrinth congratulated him for passing the test after which the protagonist woke up from inside a pon. After breaking through, he saw his comrades inside similar pods, deducing that the Haltina Labyrinth was showing them their desire as illusions.
So, Hajime wasn't transported back to his original world; he was only inside an illusion created by Haltina Labyrinth. The purpose was to make him submit and end his journey right here by putting him to sleep for good.
