Reviewing Dragon Ball Daima episode 11
Dragon Ball Daima episode 11: A brief synopsis
Dragon Ball Daima episode 11 starts where the previous one left off as Neva reaches out to the party and begins to explain why he didn't leave the Demon Realm with his race while also joining them in their quest since the Dragon Balls in this dimension can only be summoned through Namekian speech. This discussion also has a reference to Piccolo's father, Katatz.
Meanwhile, as all this unfolds, Dr. Arinsu returns to Marba's place and creates a new Majin making some variations with the same ingredients. This leads to the creation of Majin Duu, who is also Majin Kuu's younger brother and seems to be heavier and a bit less intelligent.
The last part of Dragon Ball Daima episode 11 has Goku and his party reaching out to Tamagami Number Two, and Vegeta begins to find him, although it ends with the cliffhanger of him being eaten by a Kraken. On the other hand, Majin Duu is fighting Tamagami Number One and giving him a good fight.
Narrative review of Dragon Ball Daima episode 11: Somewhat uneventful but with new information
Dragon Ball Daima episode 11 did move the plot forward but perhaps wasn't as action-packed as the previous nor did it make any major revelations to the lore of the series. The pacing was good, each scene flowed naturally one after the other, and the comedic moments that Majin Kuu and Majin Duu had with Arinsu in this episode were certainly worth the watch.
There is no denying that Toei Animation continues to deliver with the fighting sequences, although it's worth pointing out that the ones in this episode were not that long. Vegeta's battle against Tamagami Number Two had some good moments but was not on par with the previous fights Goku had in this series.
The plot also seems to be heading toward its climax, which makes sense when considering the adventurous nature of this series. The cast is close to reaching Gomah's castle and could potentially have two Dragon Balls, making the upcoming episodes even more interesting.
Dragon Ball Daima episode 11: Reviewing the production, animation, soundtracks, and voice acting
The voice cast, as usual, continues to be a joy to listen to, especially with the new additions, such as Fukushi Ochiai's interpretation of Majin Duu, which shows a lot of range. When it comes to the rest of the cast, they continue to be as strong as ever, which is perhaps one of the most underrated aspects of this series.
The animation, as mentioned earlier, continues to be another strong point, although there was nothing notorious in this installment. However, there was a running criticism of how Dragon Ball Super used to struggle for consistent animation for a long time, so it's pleasant to see this production always looking high quality in each episode.
Final thoughts
Dragon Ball Daima episode 11 was a solid installment, although perhaps lacking the excitement of the previous ones. If anything, it has set the stage for the next episode to be a lot more action-driven, with Vegeta and Majin Duu's battles with the Tamagamis being the main focus.
