Hell's Paradise season 2 reveals January 2026 release and more at Jump Festa 2025

At the Shonen Jump+ 10th Anniversary Stage of Jump Festa 2025 Day 1, the highly anticipated teaser trailer for Hell's Paradise season 2 was finally revealed. Additionally, the upcoming season of the beloved anime was also confirmed to have a January 2026 release date, which received mixed reviews from fans.

Hell's Paradise (aka Jigokuraku) is undeniably one of MAPPA Studio's finest works. Following the conclusion of its first season, a follow-up season 2 was shortly announced in July 2023. Since many had hoped that the series would make its much-awaited return in 2024, the announcement of the release of Hell's Paradise season 2 in 2026 ended up disappointing a few.

Hell's Paradise season 2 unveils first teaser and a January 2026 release date at Jump Festa 2025

The official Hell's Paradise stage at Jump Festa 2025 started at 2 pm JST on December 21, 2024, at the Shonen Jump+ 10th Anniversary Stage. It featured Yumiri Hanamori (the voice actor of Yamada Asaemon Sagiri), Makoto Koichi (the voice actor of Nurugai), and a member of the editorial staff of the anime.

Towards the end of the segment, fans of the Hell's Paradise franchise finally got what they had been awaiting for over a year. A teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of the anime was finally unveiled, where Yamada Asaemon Sagiri and her friends were seen advancing into the depths of Shinsenkyo. The teaser also featured a shot of Gabimaru and some new executioners as well, including Yamada Asaemon Shugen.

Additionally, Hell's Paradise season 2 was also confirmed to premiere in Japan in January 2026. This announcement in particular disappointed a lot of fans, who have been waiting for the anime for over a year and had expected it to release in 2025 at the earliest. That said, there were also some who were glad to simply have an official release window for the beloved anime.

What's more, the stage also revealed the first trailer for Hell's Paradise: Paradise Battle, an RPG (Role-Playing Game), which will be the first official mobile game of the Hell's Paradise franchise.
