Kagurabachi chapter 60: The Kamunabi discuss Samura's actions, Shinuchi, and their further plans
Kagurabachi chapter 60, titled Resurrection, commences with a meeting among the Kamunabi's top-ranked members. They discuss Seiichi Samura's actions and how the Hishaku now has both Tobimune and Kumeyuri Enchanted Blades in a usable state. One of the Kamunabi members asks about Hakuri's condition.
According to Azami in Kagurabachi chapter 60, Hakuri barely recovered to report about Samura and Uruha's conversation, but the neural pathways that control his Sorcery have been damaged. Therefore, he is being put under intense care. There's no guarantee that Hakuri will completely recover.
Having said that, the Kamunabi commend the boy's efforts. The conversation then shifts to Shinuchi, as a bearded Kamunabi sorcerer informs the Enchanted Blade has been undergoing the sealing process. Another member wonders if they can use the blade, especially because Hakuri's transfer ability has been rendered useless.
However, the bearded Kamunabi sorcerer feels they shouldn't, considering Samura has Tobimune's Owl ability with him. According to Kagurabachi chapter 60, Samura's Owl power's range is spread across Japan, and it can detect an Enchanted Blade's massive levels of Spirit Energy.
Additionally, the Kamunabi sorcerer feels Samura will keep his promise and won't let Hishaku do as they please with the Enchanted Blade. Having said that, he asks others about the remaining two Contracted Blade owners. According to Kagurabachi chapter 60, Subaru (one of the contracted blade owners) has been relocated along with his sushi restaurant.
At any rate, the Kamunabi members decide not to exchange any information regarding the contracted sword bearers, especially because they have been recently relocated. They hope Samura and Hishaku will wear each other out. The Kamunabi don't have to act rashly simply because they own the Shinuchi. Rather, they want to catch the enemy off-guard while remaining defensive.
Kagurabachi chapter 60: Chihiro Rokuhria makes miraculous recovery
Elsewhere, in an infirmary, Chihiro Rokuhira regains consciousness, with Shiba beside him. Shiba asks Chihiro about how he's feeling and informs him about Uruha's death. Chihiro still can't accept Samura's deeds and recalls how he almost killed him.
Just then, Shiba informs Chihiro about a grave truth. According to Kagurabachi chapter 60, Chihiro Rokuhira truly died following his battle against Samura. The doctors confirmed his death once his heartbeat turned zero. Yet, several minutes later, his heart regained a pulse, and his punctured lungs and liver were miraculously restored.
Moreover, all the wounds on his body disappeared, leaving him only with a shortage of blood. Just then, Chihiro Rokuhira realizes his Life Contract with Enten has been severed. Meanwhile, Shiba believes Samura's technique has to do with Chihiro's miraculous recovery.
He believes it was intentional on Samura's part, to let him know that he (Shiba) can't protect Chihiro. At the same time, Shiba feels Samura wants to sever Chihiro's Life Contract with Enten to stop his quest for vengeance. Shiba apologizes to Chihiro for not being able to arrive sooner and save him from Samura's onslaught.
He reminds Chihiro that Samura doesn't have any ulterior reason to kill him. Kagurabachi chapter 60 then switches to Chihiro's perspective, who recalls Samura mentioning the sin they (the contracted sword bearers) committed. Chihiro requests Shiba not to leave in the dark any longer.
Just as Shiba is about to reveal the secret, the Makizumi's Captain enters the room. He says he's also confused about the situation. At any rate, the Makizumi captain tells Chihiro that Hakuri is fine. However, he blames himself for Uruha's death. At the same time, Hakuri has requested the Makizumi to protect Chihiro.
According to Kagurabachi chapter 60, the Makizumi captain is indebted to Hakuri for saving their lives. Hence, he wants to solve the concurrent issues before he wakes up from his treatment.
Meanwhile, Chihiro wonders whether Uruha is truly dead. Shiba informs him that he has asked the Kamunabi's higher-ups to contact the morgue and send Uruha's body for a forensic autopsy.
Normally, they don't release any information without authorization, but Shiba is trying to negotiate with them to make an exception. He wants to know whether Uruha's body displays the same miraculous development as Chihiro's. However, he also tells Chihiro not to keep high hopes.
Meanwhile, Chihiro refuses to believe anything Shiba says unless he learns the root of all causes. The Makizumi captain understands what Chihiro is going through since he's also being kept in the dark. He says the Makizumi doesn't know anything about Samura's actual motive.
According to Chihiro in Kagurabachi chapter 60, he can't stop his quest for vengeance, especially after killing so many people. Hence, he doesn't want to be exempt from knowing the secrets. Just as his father used to say, Chihiro wants to perceive and learn about the world with his own eyes.
Kagurabachi chapter 60: Chihiro collaborates with the Makizumi for a common mission
Just then in Kagurabachi chapter 60, Chihiro Rokuhira requests Shiba to reveal the grave truth, no matter how shocking it is. He wants to make Samura understand that he's already going to Hell. The Makizumi captain is glad they are on the same page. He tells Chihiro to take a couple of days rest, and then he has a mission for him. He adds they will go and have a chat with Samura.
Shiba understands Chihiro's resolve and hands over the Enten blade. However, he warns him that Samura won't spare him twice, and will likely steal Enten. In his mind, Shiba apologizes to Kunishige Rokuhira and Samura, since he knows he could have stopped Chihiro either by force or by acting like a real adult. Chihiro promises Shiba that he won't die a second time.
Following that, the chapter switches the perspective to the Kamunabi. One of the top-ranked members wonders whether he should prepare an anti-Samura team since he's a greater threat than Hishaku. The other Kamunabi member says they have a potential team that can become Samura's greatest nemesis. Kagurabachi chapter 60 ends with a panel, featuring Chihiro Rokuhira teaming up with the Makizumi.
Conclusion
Kagurabachi chapter 60 nicely sets up the narrative, with Chihiro Rokuhira joining the Makizumi to confront Samura. Since the Makizumi can conceal their presence, they are a natural enemy to Samura. Besides, Chihiro Rokuhira can grow by being with a stealth group.
It remains to be seen how the Makizumi brings out the best in Chihiro, who already has enough battle experience. Besides that, Kagurabachi chapter 60 revealed a shocking fact about Tobimune's skill. While it's not exactly disclosed, Tobimune can "temporarily" kill someone. Thus, the latest chapter brings doubt over Uruha's fate.
