Momo's Hiroshi Abe impression in episode 10 has Dandadan fandom in splits

Dandadan episode 10, released on December 5, 2024, featured Momo mocking the famous Japanese actor Hiroshi Abe. The request to mimic this actor was from her grandmother, who presumably had a crush on him. While it was strange witnessing a female acting like a male actor, it was as funny as someone might imagine, as Momo kind of nailed the persona of Hiroshi.

This made sense considering how the Japanese press has described the actor as an 'anime character' numerous times due to his height and facial. Witnessing Momo as Hiroshi Abe, anime fans couldn't control their amusement as the female character did the most stereotypical impersonation of the Japanese actor.

Dandadan episode 10 featured Momo, Okarun, and Aira helping the Mantis Shrimp alien. However, as they couldn't do much, they brought him to Seiko, who found out that he needed milk.

So, they arranged a cow for the alien, who took it up his spaceship and thanked the protagonists for their help. After it left, the three children requested Seiko for new uniforms, given how they lost their previous ones in the battle against the aliens.

Seiko agreed to buy Aira and Okarun new ones but refused to do the same for Momo. Seiko asked Momo to mimic the Japanese actor Hiroshi Abe if she wanted a new uniform. To do so, Momo tied her hair and made an emotionless face, uttering 'Rocket Engine Valve,' a dialogue of Hiroshi Abe from the film Downtown Rocket.

Hiroshi Abe is a Japanese actor and model born in the Yokohama Prefecture. He started his acting career in 1983 with the film Haikara-San: Here Comes Miss Modern. His most recent film is Offbeat Cops. His most prominent roles include the films TRICK and Godzilla 2000: Millennium.
