2.5 Dimensional Seduction Season 2 announced for production
2.5 Dimensional Seduction Season 2 has been green-lit for production. This was confirmed by the anime's official staff with an announcement visual and message following the first season's finale (Episode 24) on Friday, December 13, 2024. However, the staff has yet to specify a release date for the rom-com anime's sequel.
Produced by J.C. Staff, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction anime is based on Yu Hashimoto's cosplay-themed rom-com manga series of the same name. Shueisha's digital manga platform, Shonen Jump+ service has been serializing the manga since June 2019, with 22 volumes published thus far.
2.5 Dimensional Seduction Season 2 officially confirmed for production
On Friday, December 13, 2024, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction anime aired the 24th and final episode. As the episode was about to end, a message appeared on screen, confirming the production of 2.5 Dimensional Seduction Season 2. Shortly after that, the anime's official staff on X (formerly Twitter) posted a visual, featuring Ririsa (in Liliel's costume), Noa, Nagomi, and Aria, doing a pose.
The illustration further confirms 2.5 Dimensional Seduction Season 2's production. According to the staff on X, more information about the sequel will be announced in the future. As such, they have urged fans to look forward to the next updates.
Additionally, the staff has shared a comment from the original author, Yu Hashimoto. The mangaka's comment in Japanese, when translated to English, reads the following:
"The second season has been decided!! I was thinking, 'well, at the end of the first season, there's a part where I should just say that the second season has been decided...', but that's what J.C Staff really wants to make already. yay."
Yu Hashimoto is also excited to witness the School Festival Arc's adaptation in 2.5 Dimensional Seduction Season 2. Additionally, the author has urged fans to look forward to the series.
The recently concluded season premiered on July 5, 2024, on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other pertinent syndications in Japan. HIDIVE simulcasted the episodes in selected regions including North America, South America, Central America, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The anime from the Summer 2024 line-up also streamed on Bilibili Global, Aniplus TV, and other platforms.
Junya Enoki starred as Masamune Okumura, while Kaori Maeda voiced Ririsa Amano. Akari Kito lent her voice to Mikari Tachibana, while Sayumi Suzushiro played Noa's role. Other voice actors included Sayumi Watabe as Aria Kisaki, Aya Yamane as Nagomi, Yuka Nukui as Magino, Mao Ichimichi as Mayuri, and others.
Hideki Okamoto handled the previous installment's direction at the J.C. Staff studio, with Takao Yoshioka supervising and writing the scripts. Tomoyuki Shitaya designed the characters, while Hiroaki Tsutsumi composed the series' music.
What to expect in 2.5 Dimensional Seduction Season 2?
Since the latest season covered Yu Hashimoto's manga up to chapter 70, 2.5 Dimensional Seduction Season 2 will likely pick up the adaptation from Chapter 71 onwards. As such, the sequel will continue Ririsa and Masamune's duo, as they will explore more of the cosplay world.
The sequel will introduce more characters including Marina Abe, the student council vice president. Additionally, the sequel will show Ririsa and others hosting a cosplay cafe for the school festival. In other words, the season will reintroduce the beloved characters and show many interesting cosplay events.
