Bakugo reigns supreme in My Hero Academia WORLD BEST HERO popularity poll's final rankings
On Monday, December 2, 2024, the official Shonen Jump YouTube Channel streamed a special My Hero Academia announcement video to unveil the final rankings of the WORLD BEST HERO popularity poll. Katsuki Bakugo won the popularity poll with a whopping 1,647,611 votes.
My Hero Academia's WORLD BEST HERO popularity poll is a worldwide character popularity poll conducted to commemorate the manga's 10th anniversary and conclusion. With the final rankings revealed, the popularity poll has now ascended to the PLUS ULTRA STAGE.
Bakugo wins My Hero Academia's WORLD BEST HERO popularity poll
On Monday, December 2, 2024, the Shonen Jump YouTube Channel streamed a special video to announce the final rankings of My Hero Academia's WORLD BEST HERO popularity poll.
Out of the total 6.12 million votes, 1.31 million votes were from North America, 740,000 votes were from Asia, 680,000 votes were from Europe, and the rest of the votes were from other regions worldwide.
Katsuki Bakugo won the popularity poll with a whopping 1,647,611 votes. The character has topped every popularity poll since the manga's second popularity poll. Following him in the second and third rankings are Izuku Midoriya with 1,217,357 votes and Shoto Todoroki with 630,398 votes.
The top 10 ranked characters of the popularity poll are as follows:

- Izuku Midoriya
- Shoto Todoroki
- Shōta Aizawa
- Eijiro Kirishima
- Enji Todoroki
- Keigo Takami
- Dabi
- Tomura Shigaraki
- Neito Monoma
As previously announced, the top 10 ranked characters from the popularity poll would receive original illustrations drawn by manga creator Kohei Horikoshi.
As for the top three characters, namely Bakugo, Deku, and Shoto, the battle is not over yet as they have qualified for the PLUS ULTRA STAGE. The PLUS ULTRA STAGE is a popularity poll conducted only between the top three characters from the WORLD BEST HERO poll. The winner of this stage will be awarded the special title of "The MHA" and have a statue made in their image.
The PLUS ULTRA STAGE began on December 2, at 8 pm JST. Being a 24-hour limited-time event, the voting for the same will end on December 3, at 8 pm JST. Fans can submit one vote per hour, up to 12 votes during the voting period. The final results of the PLUS ULTRA STAGE will be streamed on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 9:30 pm JST, on Shonen Jump's official YouTube channel.
