Bye Bye, Earth Season 2 announced for Spring 2025

On Friday, December 20, 2024, Liden Films announced that Bye Bye, Earth Season 2 will premiere in April 2025. To commemorate the occasion, the anime will also be making the first episode of the first season available to watch for free on the official WOWOW YouTube Channel.

Bye Bye, Earth, originally written by Tow Ubukata, is a Japanese novel series that has two versions, one illustrated by Yoshitaka Amano and the other by Hyung-Tae Kim. This novel series later received a manga adaptation illustrated by Ryū Asahi and an anime adaptation produced by Liden Films.

Bye Bye, Earth Season 2 gets greenlit for April 2025

As revealed by the anime's staff on Friday, December 20, 2024, Bye Bye, Earth Season 2 is scheduled for broadcast and distribution in April 2025.

To celebrate Bye Bye, Earth Season 2's April premiere, the first episode of the anime's first season has been made available to watch for free for a limited time on the official WOWOW YouTube Channel. The episode will be up on the channel until Monday, January 20, 2025, at 6 PM JST.

In addition to the first episode's free streaming on YouTube, the anime's Episodes 1 to 5 will also be made free to watch online on WOWOW On Demand for a limited time from Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 10 AM to Friday, January 10, 2025, at 6 PM JST.

On top of that, WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand will be streaming all episodes of Bye Bye, Earth Season 2 starting from Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 8 AM JST.

Lastly, the anime will also be releasing a video narrated by Shelly voice actor Saori Hayami. The video's title as translated by Google is "Looking back on "Bye Bye, Earth" navigated by Saori Hayami with the characters!"

This special video will see Saori Hayami reintroduce fans to the characters who played an active role in the anime's first season. In addition, the voice actress will guide fans through the story of the first season in just about 10 minutes.

This special video will be distributed for free on WOWOW On Demand from Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 10 AM JST. A shortened version of the video will also be released on the official WOWOW YouTube Channel on the same day.
