Crunchyroll announces new Indian release date for Solo Leveling -ReAwakening movie

On Monday, December 1, 2024, Crunchyroll informed Sportskeeda Anime via email correspondence that the theatrical release date of Solo Leveling -ReAwakening movie in India has been advanced. The movie, initially scheduled for December 6, will now hit theaters on December 4, 2024.

Solo Leveling was originally a Korean web novel written by Chugong. It was later adapted into a webtoon and manhwa by DUBU. The story was later picked up by A-1 Pictures for an anime adaptation and received its first season in January 2024, with a second season set for January 2025.

However, before that, A-1 Pictures is set to release Solo Leveling -ReAwakening movie to give fans an early preview through an unforgettable cinematic experience of the anime. The film will include a recap of the first season and the first two episodes of season 2.

On Monday, December 12, 2024, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced a new theatrical release date for Solo Leveling -ReAwakening movie in India. The movie was originally scheduled for release on Friday, December 6, 2024, but will now hit Indian theaters in India on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Previously, as announced by Crunchyroll, the movie was set to receive an early screening on Wednesday, December 4, in Mumbai, India. This early screening would have allowed select fans to watch the movie two days before the theatrical release.

However, the release date for Solo Leveling -ReAwakening has been advanced to December 4, 2024, the same date as the early screening announced previously.

As fans would know by now, Solo Leveling -ReAwakening will be a fan omnibus movie to build up hype for the anime's second season. The film will include a recap of the anime's first season and an early preview of the first two episodes of the anime's second season. Thus, fans should expect an unforgettable cinematic experience of the anime.

While not much has been revealed, the two episodes of the second season will introduce fans to the enigmatic Ice Elf Barca and showcase the protagonist Sung Jinwoo's fight against him. The titles of the first two episodes of Solo Leveling season 2 are "You Aren't E-Rank, Are You?" and "I Suppose You Aren't Aware."
