The Attack on Titan anime first made its debut in 2013 and swiftly became one of the most popular shows on the planet. Although the popularization of anime is mainly attributed to the Big 3, including One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach, Attack on Titan is also considered one of the key players that pushed anime into mainstream popularity.

The Attack on Titan manga marked its conclusion in 2021, but the anime adaptation ended in 2023. The entire anime was produced and aired in an episodic format, and the movies are compilations of the final few episodes.
