Crunchyroll to stream BanG Dream! Ave Mujica anime in January 2025 under new title

Monday, December 2, 2024 saw Bushiroad announce that the television BanG Dream! Ave Mujica anime series will be streamed internationally by Crunchyroll. The series will begin streaming worldwide on the platform on Thursday, January 2, 2025 under the new title of Ave Mujica - The Die is Cast -. The series will serve as a sequel anime to the BanG Dream! It’s MyGo!!!!! anime series.

The BanG Dream! Ave Mujica anime series will notably begin streaming on Crunchyroll the same day the series airs in Japan, that being January 2 as mentioned above. Likewise, this suggests that Crunchyroll will stream the television anime series weekly with English subtitles as it airs in Japan. As of this article’s writing, no alternate language dubs have been announced for the series.

BanG Dream! Ave Mujica anime to be listed on Crunchyroll under Ave Mujica – The Die is Cast – title

Currently available information as of this article’s writing suggests that aside from the name change, nothing about Crunchyroll’s version of the series will be different. Likewise, fans can expect to get the same BanG Dream! Ave Mujica anime experience that anyone else would even with the title change. While possible that some changes end up taking place, there’s nothing at this time which would suggest that to be the case.

Likewise, all currently available information also suggests that Crunchyroll will stream the series worldwide with no major restrictions. The series’ official website further supports this, listing no streaming services in its “on air” section which does have the television premiere dates listed. Although Japan and other East Asian regions are traditionally excluded from Crunchyroll availability, this isn’t necessarily always the case, as seems to be the situation here.

Koudai Kakimoto is returning to direct the sequel anime at SANZIGEN studios, with Yuniko Ayano also returning to supervise and write the series scripts. Other returning staff includes original character designers Hitowa and Kazuyuki Ueda, animation producers Hiroaki Matsuura and Shota Hozumi, and music producers Hitoshi Fujima and Junpei Fujita of Elements Garden. Ave Mujica will perform the anime’s theme song of “KiLLKISS.”

As mentioned above, the BanG Dream! Ave Mujica anime to the BanG Dream! It’s MyGo!!!!! anime series, which began airing in Japan in June 2023. The series was streamed internationally by Crunchyroll as it aired, excluding in Japan where it was streamed by Muse Asia and ABEMA. Bushiroad describes the upcoming sequel series:

“"Will you give me the rest of your life?"
After losing everything in a single night, Sakiko Togawa reaches out toward an even deeper abyss, one that will drag everyone around her down as well.
Gathering the lives of girls burdened with their own troubles and desires, Sakiko raises the curtain on a perfect masquerade.
"Welcome to the world of Ave Mujica.
On a stage where sorrow, death, fear, love—even the solace of forgetting—are stripped away, will their masks be torn off and shatter into oblivion, or will they…”
