Magilumiere season 2 officially announced after season 1 finale
The Magilumiere season 2 was confirmed for the anime after the last episode aired this week, ending the speculations on whether this series was going to continue. This J.C. Staff production is yet to reveal when the next season will come out, although it's most likely to take place in 2025 since the studio is currently working on One Punch Man.
The current season had 12 episodes and mostly focused on the adventures of Kana Sakuragi and magical girl Hitomi Koshigaya as they are trying to form their own startup company to fight creatures known as Kaii. It is very likely that Magilumiere season 2 will continue with these ideas but also move forward with new characters and concepts.

There has been confirmation of Magilumiere season 2
As mentioned earlier, it has been announced that Magilumiere season 2 is going to be a reality after the release of the twelfth and last episode of this first installment this week. As of this writing, there is no information on whether J.C. Staff will continue as the studio in charge of this production or if another company will take over.
This season was made by Moe and J.C.Staff, featuring Masahiro Hiraoka as the director, Shingo Nagai as the writer of the scripts, Makoto Miyazaki as the composer for the music, and Hidehiro Asama as the one in charge of the character designs. Moreover, the opening song was "Order Made" by Mafumafu and the ending theme was "Workout" by syudou.
This anime was also on the Friday Anime Night programming block on Nippon Television and streamed worldwide by Amazon Prime Video, although there is no information on Magilumiere season 2 staying with the programming.
The premise of the series
The premise established in the anime's first outing and is likely to continue in Magilumiere season 2 is that it takes place in a world where being a magical girl is a profession. The protagonist, a normal girl, named Kana Sakuragi is struggling to get a regular job and ends up involved in the magical girl business by meeting someone named Hitomi Koshigaya who works in that area.
Kana and Hitomi develop a friendship and the latter helps the former become a magical girl as they decide to form their own startup company. As they are dealing with the ups and downs of the business, they also have to face entities known as Kaii who hurt normal civilians.
