The Beginning After the End anime announces April 2025 release, main cast, and more with PV

The Beginning After the End anime is set to premiere in April 2025 and air 24 episodes. This was confirmed during the Fuji TV Ani 2025 livestream event on Monday, December 9, 2024, with an extended version of the first promotional video. The official staff at the event also revealed the two main cast members for the series.

Produced by Studio A-Cat, The Beginning After the End anime serves as an adaptation of author TurtleMe and illustrator Fuyuki23's webnovel series of the same name. A webtoon version with Fuyuki23's illustrations was launched on Tapas in July 2018. Yen Press has been publishing the web novel series in English, with six volumes released thus far.


The Beginning After the End anime debuts in April 2025

On Monday, December 9, 2024, Fuji TV held a special livestream called Fuji Ani 2025. During the event, the official staff unveiled an extended version of the first teaser trailer to confirm that The Beginning After the End anime will be released on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block in April 2025. However, the staff didn't disclose a narrower release date.

According to the latest information, Crunchyroll will stream The Beginning After the End anime worldwide, except in the Asian regions. That said, the fantasy anime will be available for streaming in India. The series has been filed as "season 1," and will air a total of 24 episodes.

The promotional video showcases King Grey's valor, as he engages in a fierce battle against his enemies. After that, the short clip transitions to the powerful ruler being reborn as Arthur Leywin, a boy with untapped potential. The PV highlights Arthur's journey, as he discovers the newfound danger and adventure his new life has in store for him.

According to the official staff, Natsumi Fujiwara has joined the voice cast as Arthur Leywin, while Makoto Furukawa voices King Grey. The teaser promotional video previews their character voices. Comments from the respective voice actors have arrived on the anime's official website.

Natsumi Fujiwara is honored to voice Arthur and record alongside Makoto Furukawa, who voices Grey. She says bringing Arthur's character to life is both challenging and nerve-wracking. However, Natsumi-san urges fans to look forward to Arthur's journey in the anime. Likewise, Furukawa-san reveals how the role intrigued him.

Besides the PV and the main cast, the official staff has unveiled a visual for The Beginning After the End anime. The illustration depicts Arthur looking ahead from the edge of a cliff.

Keitaro Motonaga directs the fantasy anime at Studio A-Cat, with Takamitsu Kono in charge of the series scripts. Masami Sueoka is enlisted as the character designer, while Keiji Inai is the music composer. Slow Curve produces the anime. TurtleMe is credited as the story supervisor and the show's executive producer.

Based on TurtleMe's web novel, The Beginning After the End anime follows the story of King Grey, once a powerful ruler, who is reborn as Arthur Leywin in a land of mythical creatures. Brimming with untapped potential, Arthur realizes the world is fraught with danger. Thus, he masters skills and faces fierce enemies to protect the ones he cares about.
