The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer anime confirms January 2025 premiere and more

Wednesday, December 11, 2024, a new promotional video for The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer anime series was revealed, confirming its Sunday, January 12, 2025, release date. In addition to revealing the promotional video for the series, Kadokawa also revealed five new cast members and a key visual for the upcoming series.

The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer anime also previewed the previously announced opening and ending themes for the upcoming television series. Fully titled The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World, the series will adapt mangaka Koyoshi Nakayoshi’s original isekai manga series of the same name.

The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer anime is set to premiere in Japan on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 10:30 pm Japanese Standard Time (JST). The anime will first air on AT-X at this time, before later airing on BS11, Tokyo MX, Aichi TV, Sun TV, and KBS Kyoto. As of this article’s writing, neither domestic Japanese nor international streaming information for the series has been revealed.

The anime also announced five new cast members for the series. This includes Haruka Shraishi as Raniya, Makoto Furukawa as Azir Anuma Kukuja, Ryoko Shiraishi as Shauha, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Abu Dhabi, and Kenichi Suzumura as Vidan. They join previously announced starring cast members Tomoya Ito as Togo Asagaki/Kizuna Red, Konomi Inagaki as Idola Avom, Minami Tanaka as Teltina Liz Wagrel Alvarost, and Tomohiro Ono as Rosie Mist.

The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer anime’s latest promotional video also previewed Hikaru Makishima’s opening theme song Cuz I, and Aya Uchida’s ending theme song Explosive Heart. Keiichiro Kawaguchi is directing the anime at Satelight studios and is also the sound director.

Atsuhiro Tomioka is handling series composition, with Shuji Maruyama designing the characters. Maruyama is also the chief animation director alongside Hideaki Onishi and Ayaki Ito. Koichiro Kameyama is composing the anime’s music. Additional staff members include:

Nakayoshi’s original manga series first began serialization in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan in October 2020, where it is still ongoing today. The manga has been collected into eight total volumes, none of which are available in English as of this article’s writing, with the eighth releasing in Japan on Thursday, December 12. Square Enix’s Manga UP! Global service publishes the series digitally in English as new chapters are released in Japan.
