The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse season 2 is going to be streamed on Netflix in January
As mentioned earlier, The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse season 2 is set to be released on Netflix on January 30, 2025. This continues the trend that was already established at the beginning of the year when the first season of this series premiered on that platform as well.
The news was coupled with the release of a second promotional trailer, focusing mainly on the protagonist, Percival, and the party's quest to reach the land of Kamelot. There are currently nine released episodes of this second season, and it is very likely that those and the coming ones are going to be shown on Netflix.
Some technical details include the fact that The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse season 2 has the rock band UVERworld doing the opening theme song "MMH" while singer Hana Hopeis is performing the ending theme song "Akairo." Maki Odaira is the director of the anime, and Shigeru Murakoshi is in charge of writing the series scripts.
The premise of the series
The series takes place sixteen years after the events of the original series and focuses on a new protagonist named Percival, who is revealed to be one of the four knights who is going to bring forth the apocalypse. Therefore, he becomes a target and has to travel to find the other knights while also dealing with the threat of Kamelot.
The series sort of moves away from most of the original cast, although there is a legacy that connects them, such as Percival's partner being Lancelot, who is the son of the Seven Sins member Ban. However, that also gives Percival his own journey to follow instead of comparisons with Meliodas, the previous protagonist.
