The Shiunji Family Children anime announces April 2025 release and ending theme with first trailer

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for The Shiunji Family Children anime unveiled the first promotional video for the series. According to the short clip, the series is set to premiere in April 2025. Additionally, the staff has announced information on the ending theme song for the series.

Produced by Doga Kobo, The Shiunji Family Children anime is based on the eponymous manga series, written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, who is renowned for the Rent-A-Girlfriend manga. Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine has been serializing since February 2022, with five volumes published thus far.

The Shiunji Family Children anime's first trailer confirms April 2025 release window and ending theme

According to the first full-length promotional video shared by the official staff, The Shiunji Family Children anime will be released in April 2025. A narrower release date will be revealed in the future.

The promotional video begins with the main hero, Arata Shiunji, wondering whether his life and future would have been different if he weren't born as in the Shiunji family. The scene transitions to Arata asking his brother, Shion, how he can get a girlfriend.

The next scenes in the PV showcase Arata's sisters and their unique personalities. At the same time, the video features a scene, where Arata's father is seen telling his children the truth about their relationship. Undoubtedly, the promotional clip gives fans a glimpse of what to expect from The Shiunji Family Children.

Additionally, the short video reveals and previews the anime's ending theme song, LIKE YOU o(><=><) LOVE YOU?, performed by the five Shiunji sisters, voiced by Chika Anzai (Banri), Marika Kono (Seiha), Hana Hishikawa (Minami), Rie Takahashi (Oka), and Kana Ichinose (Kotono).

Yuichiro Umehara stars in the rom-com anime as Arata Shiunji, while Chika Anzai voices Banri Shiunji. Other voice actors include Chiaki Kobayashi as Shion, Kana Ichinose as Kotono, Rie Takahashi as Oka, Hana Hishikawa as Minami, and Marika Kono as Seiha.

Ryouki Kamitsubo directs the series at Doga Kobo, with Noboru Kimura handling the series scripts. Miki Muto, who has previously worked in My Senpai is Annoying, has joined the staff as the character designer and chief animation director. Akki, Ginnojo Hoshi, and Shota Horie are enlisted as music composers.
