Togashi sets up the timeline for the next 50 Hunter X Hunter manga chapters
The Hunter X Hunter manga has been infamous for its irregular update schedule and hiatus that lasted multiple years. Although its last hiatus lasted for more than an entire year, Yoshihiro Togashi recently returned to the series and ten new chapters.
Yoshihiro Togashi recently made a post on his X account sharing the current work behind the scenes, involving both the future of the manga while also delivering a rather clear roadmap for the future.
Although the information itself does not guarantee a follow-up, it is certainly a ray of hope for the fandom which has survived hiatuses spanning multiple years.

Hunter X Hunter manga to confirms 50 more chapters for release
Hunter X Hunter manga author Yoshihiro Togashi's official Twitter has previously been used as a platform where he shares status reports on his manga while also serving as a personal blog of sorts. His latest post on X consisted of a manga manuscript with illustrations of different characters from the Succession War arc.
While the manuscript itself did not serve much purpose, the caption of the post stated:
"I am currently checking and adjusting the dialogue and timeline for the next 50 chapters. Once that's finished, I plan to resume inking the manuscript, which I had left off on."
The caption mainly addressed many questions fans have raised ever since the return of the Hunter X Hunter manga under a flexible schedule. The post confirmed that a long timeline of events and dialogues had already been prepared, with only a few adjustments being made. Moreover, the post also confirmed that Hunter X Hunter fans might be getting 50 more chapters.
Hunter X Hunter returned to serialization on October 7, 2024, under a special arrangement that allowed Togashi the freedom to create and release chapters without a rigid schedule. The manga entered a hiatus on December 9, 2024, following the release of chapter 410. This makes the recent confirmation of 50 more chapters even more impactful.
While Togashi's recent tweets can essentially be taken as confirmation of 50 more chapters, it is important to note that the previous hiatuses of the series have been due to Togashi's health issues. The tweet merely confirms that a story for 50 more chapters has been prepared. It does not confirm that these chapters will be released without any hiatus separating them.
