Yandere Dark Elf anime announces April 2025 release, main cast, and staff with PV and visual

On Friday, December 20, 2024, the official website and X account for the Yandere Dark Elf anime unveiled the first teaser promotional video. According to the short clip, the fantasy anime is set to premiere in April 2025. Additionally, the video has revealed the anime's main cast and staff. The official staff has also unveiled a key visual for the series.

Yandere Dark Elf anime serves as an adaptation of Nakanosora's manga series of the same name. Takeshobo's Web Comic Gamma Plus site has been serializing the manga since September 2021, with three tankobon volumes published thus far.

According to the teaser promotional video posted by the official staff on December 20, 2024, Yandere Dark Elf anime will be released in April 2025. A narrower release date and the broadcast information will be announced later.

The teaser trailer for the Yandere Dark Elf anime depicts a scene, where Mariabelle, the dark elf, emerges from a portal to the present world in pursuit of the former hero, Hinata Sunohara, who has returned from the other world.

Her affection for Hinata knows no bounds, as she follows him around his house. The promotional clip shows fans what to expect from the series, including Mariabelle and Hinata's unique relationship.

Aside from the PV, the official staff has revealed a key visual for the Yandere Dark Elf anime. The illustration features Mariabelle at the center, with Hinata's former companions from the other world, Cecile, Mei, and his classmate, Sakura Mochida in the background.

Minami Takahashi stars as Mariabelle, the dark elf, who gets into trouble because she adores Hinata. Rie Kawamura has joined the voice cast as Hinata Sunohara, the former hero, who ends up living with Mariabelle under the same roof.

Kyoka Maruyama lends her voice to Sakura Mochida, Hinata's classmate, who harbors secret feelings for him. Other cast members include Ayumi Mano as Mei, a joyful demi-human, and Hinako Takahashi as Cecile, the priestess. Both Mei and Cecile joined Hinata on his adventure in the Isekai world.

Toshikatsu Tokoro directs the rom-com fantasy anime at Studio Elias, with Yuki Takabayashi handling the series composition and scripts. Kazuhiko Tamura is enlisted as the character designer, while Koichi Furukawa is the color designer.

Other staff members include Manami Koyama as the art director and Yoshikazu Miyagawa as the director of photography. Moreover, Chihiro Endo serves as the music composer, Keisuke Yanagi as the editor, and Hajima Takakuwa as the sound director. The anime is produced under WWWave Corporation's Deregula anime label.

Based on Nakanosora's manga, the Yandere Dark Elf anime follows the story of Hinata Sunohara, who returns to his own world after defeating the evil Overlord. As he rejoins his high school, he thinks his adventurous life is over.

However, his daily life takes a fantastical turn when his former companion from the other world, Mariabelle, follows him home. The dark elf's passionate obsession for Hinata forces them to live together under the same roof. As such, the anime will explore a Hinata and Mariabelle's exhilarating rom-com adventure.
