In the previous chapter, Heisuke tried to stop Shin from quitting Sakamoto's store and committing murder, but Shin seemed determined. He thought back to the time when he had read Sakamoto's mind and uncovered a memory of Aoi stating that every person is special to someone, which makes killing inherently wrong. Shin had wished to become that kind of person, but regretted that it was impossible because not everyone was good.

While they were busy talking, Tenkyu took the opportunity to attack Shin. This caused both Shin and Tenkyu to fall from the second to the third level of the JAA prison. After recovering, Tenkyu remarked that he understood Shin's true feelings, noting that being a good person was exhausting. Shin countered that the people around him were so ridiculously kind that he felt compelled to protect them from harm.

Tenkyu argued that despite Shin's justifications, he was still a killer, which made them essentially the same. Shin agreed, acknowledging it as a problem. Next, they resumed their fight. Tenkyu gradually realized that Shin's psychic abilities allowed him to dodge attacks, so he tried to create situations where dodging was impossible.

Shin, meanwhile, tried to use his ESP to subdue Tenkyu, but discovered that his ability to influence others only worked once per person. While Shin was distracted, Tenkyu took the opportunity to get close and grabbed Shin's face.

Elsewhere, Heisuke desperately sought a way to bring Shin back. At this point of time, Torres appeared. He was there to meet Atari for a reading on his horse racing ticket.

It appears that Sakamoto Days chapter 193 will continue with Shin’s intense battle against Tenkyu. However, Torres’ sudden appearance in the JAA prison introduces the possibility of Atari convincing him to intervene. If Torres were to confront Tenkyu, it might help prevent Shin from crossing the line and taking a life.
