The episode began with Taro and Nio paying a visit to Seto. They confronted him about his betrayal. He didn’t seem really bothered, and appeared to have his own reasons for tipping the assassins regarding Nio and Hajime’s whereabouts. He offered Nio information about the assassins’ hideout.
However, he refused, stating that he believed in the Miburo to find the location. The group found the hideout and stormed the building. Kondo confronted the assassin and captured the target alive.
The episode then cut to the MIburo warning residents of the town to stay indoors. A ronin ambushed Serizawa while Hajime caught the shinobi perched on the rooftop. Hajime explained how Nio changed his perspective as he prepared himself to cut down the shinobi if he didn’t stand down. The Satsuma looked incredibly worried as Hajime got into his stance to cut him down.
